For the month of July the TNP University will be doing articles on events, celebrations and people associated with a particular day in July. Participants will post on a wide range of topics from national days, to important events to births or deaths of notable people that occurred during the month. This is intended to be different to the This Day In History thread, which has devolved into just copy and pasting lists of events from wikipedia or elsewhere.

July is also National Ice Cream Month and National Hot Dog Month, so look out for something about those as July goes on.
