Land Battle
The Winter Offensive was a major unsuccessful operation carried out by the Tolischerian Royal Army on December 17th, 1940, and lasted until October 23rd, 1942, and was a decisive Ruskan victory. The offensive was planned to cut off the Ruskan access to the resources in the middle area of the Solec mountains, and allow Tolischerian artillery be able to get a higher ground to fire upon Ruskan troops. However, after the Ruskan troops held back the Tolischerian offensive, managed to successfully counter-attack the Tolischerians, and managed to gain a few areas of land from Tolischerland, the operation was deemed a complete and utter failure by the Tolischerians.
On the first day of the operation, the Tolischerian Royal Army commanded by Erhard Hertzog stationed in the Solec Mountains began firing artillery onto the Ruskan troops stationed there. The Ruskan troops stationed in the Solec Mountains took medium-somewhat light causalities from the artillery firing, due to how the Ruskan troops entrenched themselves prior to the offensive being launched. After a few days of artillery bombing the area, the Tolischerians sent tanks, and infantry to finish off the rest of the Ruskan troops stationed there. However, the Ruskan troops defended their area for a long while, denying the Tolischerian's area of the land, until one month(not a full one) passed, and Ruskaland was now fully aware of what the Tolischerians were doing. After the capture of a few Ruskan troops, the Ruskans began sending loads of infantry troops, tanks, and artillery to the Solec Mountains. During this, a company more specifically the Valentyn company, began sending loads of their RT-48's, and prototypes to hold back the Tolischerians until the Ruskan troops arrived. After a few weeks the Ruskan troops, tanks and artillery that were sent, arrived and held the Tolischerian advance to a stalemate. Some fighting did occur in a few cities, villages, and areas around the mountain.
After a few months of a bloody stalemate... On May 26th, the Ruskans launch Operation Pavel around the coast of Ruskaland, and Tolischerland, to help break the encirclement of a few Ruskan troops. This forced the Tolischerians to two options: Either stay in the Solec Mountains to keep the stalemate, but lose loads of coastal land to the Ruskans as the area was lightly defended, or send some troops to reinforce the coastal area, but possibly lose the manpower to keep the stalemate. The Tolischerians, after many debates and arguments decided to chose the latter. However, this decision ended up being a fatal flaw, as the Ruskans proceeded to launch a massive counter attack on June 3rd. While some of the Tolischerian troops were being sent to the coastal area. This counter attack was very costly for the Ruskans, as they lost hundreds of troops to advance. But in the end, it was worth greatly. As, they pushed the Tolischerians almost completely out of Ruskaland. The advance ended in February 4th. 1942, where the Tolischerians began holding their ground for a bit, to allow the rest of their troops to retreat to the pre-war borders.
