A Blessed Holiday from the King and Queen
As we approach the end of 2017 and many of us gather with friends and family for the holiday season, Patrick and I would just like to take a moment to share how grateful and proud we are of all of those who have taken part in building Merridel. Thank you to everyone who has joined us in building a welcoming community where everyone has a place and a way to get involved, whether it be in the form of political ambitions, roleplaying or even worldbuilding. IT all contributes to the growth, success and influence of the Kingdom.
This community has been the child of Patrick, aka Plemboria, from the very beginning. As we approach the beginning of the new year we also are approaching the Anniversary of the founding of Merridel. During my time in Nationstates, rare is it to see a User Created Region last beyond a year and we are quickly approaching that. In order to celebrate that accomplishment, we are hereby decreeing that the 18th of February henceforth shall be a Holiday of Celebration and known as Founding Day. We shall work closely with the government to plan celebrations and events to be hosted within the Royal City.
We would also like to thank our friends and allies abroad for their support in helping Merridel continue to thrive. From the Kingdom of Alexandria, the Republic of Europeia, to the North Pacific and the people of Balder, we thank you for being there to be bastions of knowledge, assistance, and support in our quest to become a strong community that everyone shall have a place in.
