About
The United Nations of States (UNS) is a union that has been designed for member states to trade freely and effectively, bringing in joint security forces, and joint laws. It's to bring in democracy to all member nation's citizens and giving all citizens the right to things from democracy to education. The UNS consists of nations dedicated to protecting each other and their citizens and maintaining stability.
To ensure this happens, all nations whom are part of this union are obligated to support each other in the times of war, famine, natural disasters.

During the time of war, all member states of this union will come together and send reinforcements in your aid, necessary weaponry and funding you may need.
During the time of famine or natural disasters the UNS will send food, foreign aid money, building supplies, volunteers to assist in building etc and temporary shelters.

The UNS member states come together to discuss laws that will be imposed to make nations great. ALL LAWS MUST BE OBEYED BY ALL MEMBER NATIONS.

For a law to be passed it must go through the correct procedure. A bill can be written up by any member state and submitted for review. It will then go to debate with the nations and then follow procedure.
The procedure is:
- The bill is written by the nation.
- It goes to debate with every member nation.
- A vote is then cast, either FOR or AGAINST.
- If voted for, the bill goes to the higher authority, if voted against, the bill is scrapped.
- Bill is voted and debated between the higher authority.
- If passed the bill becomes law which all nations must abide by.

No drafted bill can contradict a bill that's already been passed. It can only be repealed. It can be repealed by any member nation.

Note: Any nation can be a member of the UNS, even if they are part of another alliance

For purposes of trade and foreign aid and in times of war, to get money across effectively, the UNS has created its own currency called State Dollars(SD). Each member state must put in a minimum of 1 million SD a year. The exchange rate is 1 of your currency = 1.33 SD.
As well as each member nation putting in 1 million SD, in return, they not only get access to the free market, access to aid in times of need, but also get back in return 12 million SD a year.

Laws we enact are there to help everybody. They protect citizens rights and the environment etc, however laws can be written for anything, that is sensible of course.

Structure:
The UNS has designed a structure for the union, it's made up of:
Member States; this contains all members of the UNS that are regular nations. They can still write laws and take part in debates and votes.
Ministry of Justice(Moj); The MoJ contains 3 nations that are voted in by Regular Member States and the Higher Authority. There is an election every 3 months. They monitor the law writings and decide if they are appropriate, if not they are reported to the Higher Authority and the law is removed.
Higher Authority; This area contains 3 nations, the position for this is through application. Normally, they were former members of the MoJ but anyone can apply. To apply they must have reasons as to why they should get it. The HA run the day to day tasks, from recruiting new members to writing special laws to ruining side organisations.

All Nations are required to play an active role else they will be kicked. This is a new and exciting project that could go far, so get a good role now!
