Condemnation of Separatist Movement in Southern ABC
"It has come to my attention that the southernmost region of ABC, Bibractia Caldonensis, has attempted to break off. This is very serious and I must condemn it to its fullest extent. In the past, the region has been hostile to our attempts to bring it up to standards with law in the rest of the nation. Just last year when we passed the Immigration Act, allowing easy entry into ABC of immigrants with a mostly clean background, the region refused to enact the law and prevented, forcefully in some cases, the entry of these immigrants into the region. Today the leader of the assembly in the region, Martinique Agros, has signed a Declaration of Independence. As of such, our nation has categorized the region as being in a state of emergency and hundreds of troops have been deployed throughout the region to keep the situation from getting violent as well as government officials being sent to attempt to negotiate with them. This Declaration is illegal under ABC Law and Agros has been given 36 hours to abandon the Declaration before the federal police will be sent in to arrest him. I thoroughly condemn his illegal actions and ask the people of the region to rise up and defend ABC!"

Tariff Increase on Capitalist Nations
"Today I will be introducing a higher import tariff on all nations who follow the ideology of capitalism. This comes as part of our new effort to help make nations who follow the ideals of socialism, communism, and true democracy self sufficient from capitalist nations. In addition, I will be dropping all sanctions and lowering tariffs for leftist nations to continue this effort and help our ideology thrive and prove itself to be the better of these two. Critics call our ideology 'backwards' and 'cruel' but this is done in ignorance of the facts. By doing this, we hope for capitalist nations to realize how important us leftist nations' contributions to the the world really are. We also hope that our fellow leftist states will prosper from this and we encourage them to impose their own countermeasures against capitalist states. As for exact numbers, the import tariff on capitalist nations will be raised by 15% and export tariffs will remain at their current rate. Import tariffs for leftist nations will be reduced 18% and export tariffs will be reduced 20%."
