Cogoria for Justice

Cogoria

TNPer
I acknowledge that I am not the most experienced of the candidates, what I am though is enthusiastic and have experience with laws IRL. I have studied our laws in TNP, and am confident that if elected I will be able to implement and uphold these laws in a fair and just manner. Please by all means, use your first two votes for MacSalterson and Zyvetskistaahn, I mearly ask that you consider me for that third vote.

Do you have any experience in TNP law, either through the speaker's office, Attorney General or just even proposing a bill?

How familiar are you with the 50 or so court reviews to date? Are there any you particularly disagree with, or particularly admire?

EDIT: Also, will you stand for chief justice if you are elected?

The one review and ruling I disagree with is the one against self incrimination. Not the right of the person to refuse to answer as that right is theirs to use, but the fact that may not in itself be used in evidence. Where I'm from, a law enforcement officer may note this as an inference as their refusal to answer infers that sometsomething is amiss. However as that comes from my IRL experience and not TNP, if elected I will of course follow the rulings direction and discount a failure to answer as evidence itself.

And I will not run for chief justice. As many of the other candidates posses far greater experience than I, should i be elected justice i will support one of them

For serious cases a refusal to answer can be seen a an inference to something serious. Though this in itself is not considered full evidence and is most certainly not possible to convict or aquitaquiy on inference alone. But in exceptional circumstances it can be used officially to add weight to other evidence or testimony. Though useable IRL where I live, there are a number of hoops to jump through for inference to be permitted, sometimes involving a separate and higher court than the one the case itself is taking part in. It is not sometsomething to be bandied about recklessly. However as it has been ruled against here in TNP I would not permit it should i be elected.
