General Election:
The Kingdom of Britannia has just undergone a major General Election in which the incumbent Prime Minister, Arthur Jameson, declared that he was not seeking re-election for a third term in 10 Downing Street. This led the race for Prime Minister to be left wide open and many saw this as a chance to have a new fresh and active restart to the region's growingly inactive executive government. The race for the Premiership saw five candidates put their names forward for the top spot; Levi Jansen, Andree, Karl Spitzer, Sebastian Mountbatten and Chae Montleone. In the end, Levi Jansen secured a strong lead in the polls and won the premiership with a 55% majority. The House of Commons welcomed back three incumbent Members of Parliament (Arthur Jameson, Karl Spitzer and Levi Jansen) and also welcomed two new members; Lucas Mountbatten and Maxwell S. Lane. Last month, HM Alexander had a family emergency and appointed the Prince of Wales as Prince Regent for eight days. During the regency, the Armed Forces Act (2017) was granted Royal Assent by the Prince Regent after much debate in Parliament. The full regency statement can be found here:Statement:

Just a short while ago my family received a call from our relatives telling us that one of my uncles suffered some health complications. The original plan was to have a regency for a week as RL would be extremely busy starting on. Wednesday but due to this family emergency I am forced to call the regency early to ensure that there is someone in place as the Crown Regent. I will be wrapping up the State Visit tomorrow with the joint signing after which I should already be on my way out of the country and headed to see my relative. Due to that those relatives live in a rural area, mobile data will be scarce so I will not be able to log on to the forums often but if it is an important matter, ping me on discord and if I am able to answer, I will. I have full confidence that the Prince will execute the duties of the office well and look forward to returning with some better news about my relative.
