Henry Milton: Zelgathon's Most Eligible Bachelor

The following is an excerpt from Zelgathonion Zing: Zelgathon's Premier Gossip Magazine

Chancellor Henry Milton, the head of the rising nation Zelgathon, is considered the country's most eligible bachelor and arguably one of the world's most eligible. At 30 years old, Henry is what GLAM Magazine describes, "Charming, entertaining, and most importantly successful." When asked of his plans for possibly getting married soon, Chancellor Milton had this to say, "I'm exploring options outside of just Zelgathon. I know we're not traditionally a monarchy, but I do believe that certain monarchical or even non-monarchical states would be willing to create a sort of negotiation should a prominent ceremony be held." When asked if he believed in love as fundamental to such a relationship he replied with an "of course" as he continued off to his meeting the the Minister of Culture regarding Zelgathon hosting the Olympics.

The country, largely socialist was a bit disturbed by chancellor Milton's remarks. "I think he's being a bit brash to rush into a foreign marriage" said Bethany Hills, local college student in Yaragar. Other, more prominent voices echoed other concerns, one such voice was George Keyes, member of parliament in Milton's Socialist Party, "He's essentially using marriage as a political tool, which doesn't make sense in our type of nation."

Despite this Milton did have supporters, "I think it's good for the nice young man to be exploring his options" said elderly resident Ezra Ymira from Zelgathon City. As of a recent poll taken on this issue, 31% were in favor of his decision, 42% were against it, and the remaining 27% wished to know more before making their decision. "Who's the individual in question is my question" remarked Buck Jones from the village of Henk. "If we knew more about the young lady, maybe then we could make an informed decision.

One thing is certain, Milton has finally his the market and this marriage might have quite the impact on the international stage.

It's no surprise that Llarusea Samantroth, heiress to the enormous Samantroth Logging Incorporated, might be looking for a husband. She's 32, and it's so secret that in the hollows and dense forests of northern Myroria, 32 year old bachelorettes might as well be spinsters, accompanied only by seven cats and their constant sobbing and wailing. For years now, your reporters here at Omaryseth's Questioner have been only two steps behind Llarusea, following her on her various dates to local old boys' clubs and columned mansions, and every date has so far ended with, at best, a gentle peck and a promise to call that, sure as the rain, is broken by the end of the week.

In fact, Llarusea's habit of going on these dreadful dates with dreadful men has been known so long to us at the Questioner that even our expert photographers found themselves yawning audibly from the bushes. It's easy to imagine, then, how shocked we all were to see Llarusea at a beach in Syrixia one week, then a Toliman bungalow the next, and then walking along a snowy path in Andrenne! Yes, dear readers, Llarusea Samantroth is looking abroad for a lover!

This is simply unprecedented in the Questioner's history. Perhaps those "cosmopolitan" Myrorians in Novrith or Therelan date foreigners, but an upstanding, er, young-ish woman from County Omaryseth? Unheard of! We've already placed photographers on the trail of her father and mother, who are surely disappointed in their daughter for giving up on Myrorian stock and getting outlander fever. It's only a matter of time before we see tears on her old mother's face, and hearts broken by her betrayal of our customs.

We've also doubled our photographers following Llarusea herself, who over these past few weeks has been seen in Xentherida, Ilia, Sadakoyama, and even the safer parts of the Stan Yera! What's next - Llarusea walking through the ruins of Cape El in McMasterdonia? Partaking in a tribal dance in Naizerre?
