Here is what I came up with for my article on the School of Law:

Have you ever wanted to write a persuasive argument? Was there ever a time that you read the Constitution only to be more confused afterward? Or have you ever wanted to understand the complicated language in court documents and legislative proposals? The North Pacific is currently undergoing an educational renaissance, spearheaded by a series of upcoming guest lectures and courses housed within The North Pacific University School of Law. Featuring courses by experienced jurists from both The North Pacific and Europeia, the School of Law will cover a series of topics including: logic, legal theory, statutory interpretation, rhetoric and argumentation, judicial opinions, and case law. The courses will feature a mixture of lectures and quizzes to test student knowledge.

We wanted to get the opinion of some of our up-and-coming legal minds in The North Pacific on this new educational opportunity, and turned to two Deputy Attorneys General in the AG office's Criminal Division. Deputy Attorney General Sasten hopes to learn "...more about legal proceedings and the finer points of TNP law. I'm not that experienced, so having that resource there would be an excellent addition." Deputy Attorney General Goyanes stated that "the school of law would be very helpful for those who wish to become more involved in the legal system of TNP and abroad, and is a valuable resource." Goyanes also designed the graphic seal that emblazons the School of Law, and stated that he is quite proud as "it is one of my first major graphic design works that has been recognized by the government."

The overarching goal of this new effort is to increase the number of trained legal experts in The North Pacific. Residents and citizens of The North Pacific are welcome to attend, with courses scheduled to begin on January 3. In order to put students' knowledge to the test, The North Pacific is also planning a Mock Trial that will feature a team of prosecutors squaring off against a team of defense attorneys. Citizens of The North Pacific will be able to cast their vote on which case they would like to be tried. There will even be a moderating justice picked from among the brightest legal minds in TNP. Be sure to bring popcorn and peanuts to the public gallery, because this will be exciting to watch!
