Liberations are designed to eliminate barriers to entry in a region. This is done to facilitate operations that free regions of occupying forces and, in a broader sense, fight against nations and groups that would promote fear and terror and threaten the peace and stability of the NationStates community. These two goals are usually intertwined, but in rare cases they are separate. This is one of those rare cases. We should always take care to use the awesome power of liberation only when absolutely necessary, and always with the aim of protecting others, not simply to facilitate destruction. While on the surface a liberation such as this appears to be an act of aggression and the very opposite of why liberations were created, it is consistent with the spirit that brought about liberations in the first place. The target region is the resting place of a Nazi Invader Army, a haven and gathering point for some of the most hateful and deplorable among us, a glaring symbol of hateful ideology that has taken root in our midst and refuses to crawl back into the darkness in which it belongs. This ideology threatens us all and its elimination will do more to keep us safe and free than abstract principles that would tolerate its continued coexistence with enlightened and cultured minds. In such dangerous and divisive times, we cannot continue to allow this evil to go unchecked.
