Hello everyone,
Before I start, I would like for all of you to please look at this thread right here: http://forum.thenorthpacific.org/topic/9008615/1/
As you can see, the Home Affairs and Gameside Affairs Ministries will be working together on updating the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) threads. Many of them are outdated, and some have information that no longer applies today. So it is essential that we get to work on them as soon as possible.
Here is our game plan:
1.) There are 8 threads in the FAQ sub-forum that need updating. We are going to distribute assignments out on a first come, first serve basis. You could work on an assignment alone or you could team up with somebody, and you can contact anybody for information (ex. you may contact an NPA officer, the Minister of WA Affairs, etc). Most of the information can really be found by looking around for it on the forums, but if it is something you can't find, feel free to contact the official in charge of it.
2.) What are the assignments? I will go through thread by thread and let you know what needs to be done with each one. From there, you claim whichever assignment fits your interest and abilities best.

1.) Why you should be in The North Pacific? CLAIMED

What needs to be done:
- Update the WA section. We have over 1,000 WA nations, not 600.
2.) The World Assembly/Security Council FAQ CLAIMED

What needs to be done:
- Factually, all the information is correct.
- We need to remodel this FAQ thread to focus on the WADP.
3.) North Pacific Army & Raiding/Defending CLAIMED

What needs to be done:
- We need someone to update the NPA ranks listed with the modern NPA rank system.
- The NPA follows a 1 military policy, meaning you can't participate in the militaries of multiple regions, in order to avoid conflict. And so, currently there is a statement at the end of the thread that contradicts that, and so it needs to be updated.
- (For the record, I have changed the name of the thread. I have put "North Pacific Army" in front of "Raiding/Defending.")
4.) Cabinet Ministries of the TNP FAQ CLAIMED

What needs to be done:
- Honestly, this thread needs to be rewritten. It is so outdated and so much of it is no longer applicable that there's nothing worth saving. And so whoever handles this assignment, needs to to create a new cabinet FAQ altogether. You don't have to format it the same way Alvino does. You can simply write a paragraph per ministry and put in 1 thread, or you can do what he did and put a general summary of each ministry as its own post in the thread.
5.) Role play FAQ CLAIMED

What needs to be done:
- It looks fine to me at first glance.
- Someone needs to put in the names of the role play moderators so that they can be contacted if a new role player has a question.
- Someone get in touch with RP moderators and see if they want us to add something else to the FAQ.
6.) TNP Yellow Pages CLAIMED

What needs to be done:
- Citizenship link needs to be updated.
- Discord link needs to be added.
- Instead of listing out the spam games available, we can simple link the spam forums.
7.) TNP Discord and IRC Chats CLAIMED

- We need to actually add in the Discord information. (I have renamed the thread from TNP IRC Chat to TNP Discord and IRC Chat.)
8.) Welcome and Orientation CLAIMED

- TNP crest needs to be updated.
- RA thread link needs to be updated.
- NPA thread link needs to be updated.
- A lot of other threads and gov't official names need to be updated.
- IF you want to, you can rewrite and reorganize the whole FAQ. I don't like how it's one huge block of text for the main part.
I understand that not everybody has the moderation abilities to go ahead and edit those threads. And so I will ask that you simply go through your assigned thread, make sure I didn't leave out anything, and post the correct information here. I and Kasch will update them, and we will give you credit in the threads for your work. If you are taking an assignment where you have to rewrite the thread, a paragraph, or anything else, then simply write it here, and we will repost it in the correct sub-forum.
