President L. Burves Visits Kaschovia
On the 11th of August 2016, President of The Republic of Lorbank, Leslie Burves, made his way to Kaschovia with the intent of strengthening the two nations relations. Both countries have been working for weeks over the organization and the setting up of The Northern Cup, a regional football tournament held once every year. This is proved to be an efficient method of creating union between two nations, setting a goal and smashing it. Lorbank has been priceless when it comes to suggesting innovative, fresh and better ways to look at the tournament whilst keeping everything in check.
Leslie Burves arrived at Kerat Airport at 10:30 AM on the 11th and was greeted by Mattheus Kurgrovski and Foreign Affairs Minister, Julia Helberov. They were escorted to the conference hall, packed with news reporters and journalist, all eager to ask their questions. This was done so that both of the leaders could answer any questions needed and enjoy the rest of the visit without interruption.
They landed on the helipad at around 1:05 PM and made their way to the entrance of the residence. A large gate awaited them, where a member of the Elite Corps (an unregistered branch of the military, used for the protection of the ministers and the Chancellor) greeted them, welcoming them into the residence. From there, they had free reign to do whatever they damn well pleased. For two hours, they watched a recently released movie, then went golfing, followed by an extravagant tour around the marvellously enormous gardens of the Chancellor.
Just a day later, Kaschovian media almost exploded. A mix of positive and negative responses were given to the visit. Many people were unsure of the visit, worrying that serious political negotiations just weeks before the start of a major regional tournament could spark the usual conspirators and bearers of tin foil hats everywhere. However, a lot of the public were finally happy that their leader was deciding to take steps in the Foreign Affairs side of national happenings, it was a refreshing wake up call for the people of Kaschovia. The nation was no longer in early stages, things were starting to get serious.
