Commend Lord Ravenclaw​
I am looking at you, TNP. I would like to write a commendation of Lord Ravenclaw. But, seeing as I do not know him as well as you, I want your opinions. Why should Lord Ravenclaw be Commended. Working on his executive staff for just a mere 2 months, I can see it clear that Raven is an exceptional candidate for a commendation. Help me guys. For the sake of your delegate.​
 
I will look into the specifics of Raven's role in NS, and compose a draft of the commendation to get an idea of what the final will look like.
 
Okay, here's what I have so far. It's short, so, I'm gonna need a lot more, but I think it's a good start.

The Security Council,

Noting Lord Ravenclaw's active contribution to NationStates for a total of eight years,

Applauding Lord Ravenclaw's service for two years in Osiris, serving multiple positions in their government, including but not limited to: Vizier of Foreign and Diplomatic Affairs, Kai-Repat, Priest of the Hedjet, and Pharaoh and World Assembly Delegate of Osiris.

Acknowledging the service in foreign affairs of The North Pacific, serving as advisor to multiple Delegates of the Feeder and helping set a precedent of what is expected for the region's foreign affairs ministry.

Noting Lord Ravenclaw's skills in diplomacy, which were dire within the unrest in The South Pacific, and worked to relieve the divides between both The North Pacific and one of its closest allies.

Remarking on Lord Ravenclaw's numerous honors received through their service, including: Imperial Medal of Honour, Knight of the Red Guard, and Crown of Osiris.

I had a conversation with someone else on IRC about this recently, and while I agree that Raven deserves a commendation, listing off positions that he's held elsewhere doesn't really persuade me. I am much more interested in knowing what he did in those positions and how he was an effective leader while in those positions.

Also, I know that this is TNP, but there is a definite TNP focus that eliminates some of the other efforts that he's been a part of. For example, when Raven was MoFA in TSP, he also worked to improve the relationship and return to a closer friendship with Europeia, for example, which had had some issued under previous administrations. There may also have been other regions that he worked to improve relations with, as it's conceivable that the previous MoFA's may have neglected multiple multiple regions that didn't fit their preferred world view when it came to allies and partners.

If you haven't already, I'd notably suggest contacting Tsunamy (who was the WAD in TSP when Raven was MoFA) and Cormac, who I know has worked with Raven on Osiris things in the past. r3n may also be able to provide some insight, but I also know that r3n has been busy with RL stuff as of late, so he may be slow to reply.
