Spam Rules

1. Images used multiple times in a thread should be spoilered after the first time - ex. government seals and communique headers.

2. Posts must not include excessive out-of-character (OOC) text in an IC (in-character) thread. As an example (but not the only definition) of excessive OOC text, a post that has more OOC text than IC text by any measure (word count, character count, or physical length on the page) is forbidden.

3. Posts should relate to the thread in which they are posted in.

1. The person who creates a thread is its OP.

2. The OP is the Law exercised through the RP Mod staff.

RP-Related TOS Guidelines

1. Foreign language text MUST have an accurate translation in English provided either: a) in-line, b) as a footnote, or c) as a block, alongside, after, or before. Failure to provide such a translation may and will be referred to forum-wide staff.

2. Failure to follow the above Spam Rules may result in report to forum-wide staff for spam violations.

1. I agree and disagree. If the seal is too big, it should be spoilered. But a seal the size of, say, Syrixia's, isn't too too big.

2. What's this mean? The wording is odd. Is the OP supposed to lay out the rules for the RP in the OP which are then enforced by the Mods? Can the rules be amended at any time, or is it final once the thread is started?

OP is the Law is that the OP is the one running the RP and his word, largely, is final. I.e. if he tells you to get the fuck out or to edit your post, unless he's asking for something ridiculous, you get the fuck out or edit your post.

The RP Moderation staff will enforce this.
 
Etiquette 2 was intentionally worded to be a bit snarky. That's the norm on the NS main site, but honestly, I've never really felt it appropriate for formal guidelines, hence why it might have come out stilted. I'm exceedingly willing to either make it more formal, or have someone else make it appropriately humorous.
