The Dwarven Kingdom of Valdoria is an absolute monarchy in the northwest of UF Eras. It is primarily composed of the Valdor Mountains in the north and center, which is also the namesake of the country, as well as the Plains of Ard-Gandir in the south, which is where Valdoria's coastline is. Still, however, Valdoria is a land-based kingdom with a highly stratocratic society. There is no legislature and the King has control over the society and the military. However, unlike most monarchies, Heirs Apparent are chosen by the previous King, instead of the normal hereditary system. The current King is Durin VI, and the current Heir Apparent is Cirnor, the Prince of Khazum, a city in northeast Valdoria.
Valdorian history begins with the first dwarves, who according to archaeological records lived around the slopes of Mt. Boldir, in the southwest of what is now Valdoria. The modern city of Boldir is located near the original dwarven lands. Slowly, these dwarves expanded, and with the discovery of fire and tools the population exploded. Dwarves delved into the cracks of the world and became rich. They built small underground and aboveground towns as time went on, though the underground towns were far more magnificent.
Eventually two types of dwarves emerged, the Sun-Dwarves and the Core-Dwarves. These types eventually became known as the Vandari and the Telnor, Valdoria's two main ethnic groups. The Vandari were originally called Sun-Dwarves as they mainly lived near the coasts, built up their cities aboveground, and worshipped Valsir, a personification of the Sun. The Telnor were originally called Core-Dwarves as they were the more adept miners and their cities were high in the mountains, and built underground. They worshipped Rhonor, a personification of the Core of the World, and the Fires of the Deep.
In Rohizir, the Valdorian religion, Rhonor and Valsir are the two sons of Anú, the Creator of the World. All Rohizir worships Anú, however Telnori Rohizir focuses more on Rhonor than Valsir, and Vandari Rohizir does vice-versa. This led to a number of tribes emerging, with most of the Telnori tribes living in the north and center and most of the Vandari tribes living in the south. 12 tribes emerged, and the dominant tribe was the Danlodir tribe, which lived in the center of Valdoria. Their capital was the city of Danlodir, the modern capital of Valdoria, and they soon came to dominate Valdoria. However, all that would change with Dáin of Anor, the founder of the Kingdom.
Dáin was originally a pageboy of Khamúl, Lord of the Anor Tribe. However, he was also the son of Goltar, Khamúl's cousin. Goltar wanted power over the Tribe, and used Dáin to manipulate what information Khamúl received. However, eventually Khamúl found out about Goltar's plot and had Goltar sentenced to death by gallows. After watching his father be hanged, Dáin vowed revenge. Although he was just a lowly page, he was very cunning, and immediately set out on destroying Khamúl. Going all across Valdoria,
