Installation of Na?o Diama as Viceroy of Quraf

The following message has been sent to the signatories of the Novrith Pact:

By order of Belrak of the clan Sahas, High King of the Islands of Vazos, the Governorate of Quraf is hereby dissolved. In its place, a Viceroyalty is proclaimed as the occupation government of Quraf. Na?o Diama, who served with valor as an officer in the Royal Army during the Qurafi rebellions of 1978, has been chosen by the High King and approved by the Royal Council as Viceroy of Quraf.

The installation of Diama as Viceroy will take place at the Palace in Mahasur one week from today. All signatories of the Novrith Pact are invited to attend the ceremony as well as a reception to follow.

We Upon the Auspicious Throne of the Spirits and Ancestors would like to begin by offering Our sincerest congratulations that your region of Quraf has been chosen to be bestowed with a noble lineage. We are informed by "Garos Prosarith", an Vazosi-by-birth officer who has served with distinction for over a decade in the Myrorian Foreign Corps, that Diama would make a firm leader. Though the Commander of the Corps will not reveal the birth names of any of its members even to Ourselves, We are informed that "Garos" served under Diama for many years in the Vazosi military.

It would please Us very much to attend the installation of Diama personally, but unfortunately, Our schedule is filled for that week with a tour of new schools in the western part of Our country. In Our stead, we will be sending the Crown Prince of Myroria, Our son Menil Quarrovth. Menil is still but a young man, but he has the bearing, firmness, and honor befitting a future Sedera of Myroria. To see him attending an event in Vazos for the first time as a representative of her ally would make Us very proud.

Crown Prince Menil will be attending the event with a small entourage, as well as Garos Prosarith, the Foreign Corps officer We mentioned earlier. Garos currently serves as an aide to His Highness the Crown Prince and, as We understand, is quite eager to get another look at his home, which he has not seen in many years.

We thank you for your gracious invitation to Ourselves and dearly hope that the Crown Prince is a suitable substitute in your eyes. We again wish the soon-to-be Viceroy and your entire government only the best, and look forward to good news from the Kingdom.

The Augustine Office issues the following Statement.​

Having received the missive by the Honourable Belrak Sahas, the High King of Vazos, addressed to the Novrith Pact, I, Caesar Felix Albinus Augustus, see fit to respond in the following manner.

In regards to the invitation to attend the proclaimation of the Viceroyalty of Quraf, we consider it appropriate to congratulate Vazos on its continuation of the aristocratic tradition. Furthermore, we consider it appropriate to accept your invitation. We wish to give notice that the Speculatorial-Magister Castra Theodosius Frumente will be attending the proclamation as a representative of the Augustine Office.

The Speculatorial-Magister informs us that she is thrilled with the opportunity to meet the Vazosian people and experience a nation that has been isolated from the world for quite some time. She is committed to representing Imperium to our new-found allies in Vazos, and vice versa, in acccordance with the spirit of the Novrith Pact that joins us together. Like the Speculators before her, she intends to carry out her mission to improve the mutual understanding of people, society, and history that has defined the creation of national security throughout the life of her Service, and we look forward to creating that security together.

She hopes that this will be only the first step in recreating a Vazos that is capable to stand up to threats, with the support of our Novrith Pact, and she is pleased to be a part of this recreation.
