Robotics on Eras?

So Guslantis pioneered the concept of AIs on Eras with Ayuda, and now I found this: https://www.jibo.com

I plan to make it into Avi, short for Avinash; though it'll be called Avi officially. It'll be commercially sold, just like Jibo. But enough about me.

Let's talk about robotics. Where is robotics in your nation? How far has it come? DISCUSSION: GO!

[me] prepares for intensely detailed response from Piscivore

I'm all for robots and AI's as long as I get one.

But seriously, stuff that is five minutes into the future is fine far as I'm concerned.

Obviously, the Monarchy of Guslantis has two AIs: Ayuda and Amica.

Amica is very irrelevant in terms of doing anything, as she's pretty much a Siri to the Complex.

Ayuda, on the other hand, is the meat of the operation, being capable of interacting almost perfectly with the team of engineers at the Thomas Building Corporation. In his new update, Sovereign, he can now recognize people's voice, and adapt to their settings of nicknames and slang as defined by the user.

I am planning to bodify him soon, so he should be able to leave the Complex as needed to communicate with the Queen or Ministers as necessary. I'd also have him go to festivals (when everyone else seems to be out) but he kinda has a lack of legs...

We've got a number of AI, but not as many as we let people think. Industrial use of robotics is limited; we're not really into mass production so robots are used for precision work rather than increased productivity. Our Thorium reactors use robots, and of course they are in use in labs and hospitals. We are beginning to really get into nanorobotics. Military use of robots is classified, but one can safely assume we have drones of many varieties.

Any rumors that we have one or more crewless, AI controlled Boomers running around the oceans of Eras is just unsubstantiated conjecture.

Here's another thing to consider, what do the AI (the ones aware of themselves being a robot) refer to themselves as?

For example, Ayuda acknowledges that he is an AI and was created, but still refers to himself and Amica as male and female.

Herir, who only appears in Guslantis Is Ours uses the pronoun "it" when referring to itself and the other bots, despite being of male programming.

If interacted with, what will the bots expect to be referred by? The programming (he or she) or by the fact they are a bot? (it)

This is kinda important to establish what a bot likes to be referred as.

Avi acknowledges he was created and is a robot, but he is programmed to try to become part of the family. There is also a female variant which will be sold for the same price, and one can choose from different colors- white, black, blue, red, yellow, green, purple, and gray.

Moved to National Information. Please make sure topics like this are created in this subforum in the future.

Tolima has run trials of using robotics to aid traditional police forces in enforcing law in the more dangerous areas of the nation, especially in the northern ports, where much of the drug trade in north-east Eras originates. Drone surveillance and now actual robots patrol these northern towns, with their manufacturers setting up a factory in the south of Tolima.

In Yeraennus, robotics (and related things, like prosthetics) is rather advanced, but there are no sentient AI that have been revealed to the public (haven't decided whether I want to jump on that hot mess or not). However, prosthetics with dexterity nearly equal to that of a regular human appendage are widely available, and robots are used for many industrial maintenance and nuclear power positions, and micro-robotic devices are in development (such as cameras able to fit inside blood vessels). Robotics was actually first developed and researched on for medical purposes in my nation, and have been designed to be the least intrusive and lightest they possibly can.

Well our currently in development Strategic Intelligence Operation Network Navigation Entity (or Sionne) is female but she chooses to identify as neither male or female.
