I believe in simplicity in elections; I believe that the person who gets the most votes wins the race. At the outset I decided that if I came a close but clear second in the first ballot, I would to stand in a runoff.

Therefore I withdraw in favour of Myroria, who fought a good campaign and will serve tnp well. Well done, Myroria.
 
Thank you for the congratulations Flemingovia. You were an excellent candidate and would have made/would still make an excellent VD.

Is there precedent for this though? Should an election still be held and should Kialga, the third runner-up, be a candidate?

Well, now to convert my signature back to normal. :P You know what, I might've lost, but I lost with my dignity. I never began to criticize my fellow candidate, and now-Delegate, and I'm proud to say that the person we elected served alongside me so long ago in the Speaker's Office. Break a leg, SillyString!

I cannot be made to stand in a ballot if I choose not to. And Kialga, with just 14% of the vote cannot be on the ballot (although he, mysteriously, is at the moment) so the only options are to run the ballot with one name on (the laughingstock option) or congratulate Myroria on their victory.

So Congratulations.
