The Ministry of Foreign affairs regrets to inform the honorable nations of the Democratic Union that the Plembobrian representative to the DU has perished in a plane crash. The government has not appointed a successor at this time. More infomation here.
 
The government of Dalies and the whole of the Democratic Union offers their condolences in this tragedy. Personally, I worked with Mr. Winston Schneider and considered him a fine friend in the DU. His death came too early and my deepest sympathy goes out to his family and the nation of Plembobria. You can count that the flags flown at the DU headquarters will be raised half staff in memorial of his passing and our of pure respect.

Chairman Silverson,

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has, after much deliberation, appointed Ms. Patrice Hossam as the new representative to the Democratic Union. Ms. Hossam is a former senator and Minister for Foreign Affairs. We trust that she will continue to further the cause of democracy in the Democratic Council as well as the late Mr. Schneider did in his tenure.

Ms. Hossam will arrive at the DU headquarters with a few days bearing a letter of credence signed by His Majesty.
