Annalise-Basso-e-Chandler-Canterbury-in-The-Goats.jpg

The Queen's 14 year old great niece Abigail, often refered to as Abigail Junior or Abi, has been kidnapped by a religious cult calling itself the Children of the Gods. The teenager was abducted from the shoreline of the Askwith coast while out sailing, during the abduction one member of the Royal Security Force was shot and killed. Since her abduction a video has appeared in which members of the cult threatened to kill the girl unless demands are meet. Abigail is named after her Great Aunt and the two are extremely close with Abi having been taught to sail by the Queen and sharing her love of astronomy. The Queen is said to be "devastated" by the abduction.

The Children of the Gods are an Odinist extremist group who are angry at what they perceive as the "watering" down of traditional Morheimian values based on Odinism. There demands call for a large sum of money to be paid from Christian Churches to the terrorists as well as the Royal family publicly taking oaths of loyalty to Odin and all Christians being sent into exile. This is the first attack this group have carried out despite rumours of the groups existence for a number of years.

The elite Royal Light Rangers have been placed on standby however their commanding Officer Brigadier Haslam stated, "When any member of the royal family is under threat this is standard procedure. We currently have no leads to the whereabouts of Abigail and can not confirm whether she is still within the Queendom. We would urge anyone with useful information to contact us immediately."

The Queen was expected to attend the unveiling of a new telescope in Thale this evening but has cancelled any appearances for the time being.

HMS BEN STARK IN DRAMATIC RESCUE

The Royal Naval vessel HMS Ben Stark was today involved in a dramatic rescue at sea. The Amphibious Warfare ship was patrolling the coast when a small fishing boat began to sink around 100km off the coast. The boat had been fishing in the rich seas to the North when it was swamped by a wave and several crew members were injured. The Royal Navy vessel was around 20km away and steamed to the area while launching it's helicopter crews. The Queen's niece Amy Barren was one of the medics who winched down onto the boat where she performed an emergency amputation on a sailor whose arm had been pinned beneath a piece of equipment. The 30 year old has been a serving member of the Navy for 3 years after becoming a qualified doctor.

A total of 18 sailors were evacuated successfully to Askwith while two remain missing.
