The sun light reflecting off the billiard table flat sea, the light breeze whipped up the faintest of sprays as Abi turned her small single person dingy out to sea. The stretch of coast near the family home was almost empty this morning, a few speedboats further out were the only thing disrupting the young girls tranquility of water lapping at the boat. As she turned the boat back towards the shore line she glanced at her watch, twenty more minutes and then she'd have to head for shore. One of the boats was getting closer and Abi could feel the boat begin to buffet from the waves it was causing, she glanced over her shoulder just in time to see the collison course the driver seemed intent on, she had no time to react as the boat slammed into the fibreglass hull of her dingy almost splitting it in two. Abi fell into the water but almost instantly felt someone pulling her back to the surface, a man in a wetsuit held her tight and passed her up to a man holding a hand gun pointing at her. She let out a scream but the third man in the boat stifled it by placing a gloved hand over the teenagers mouth.

A security agent on the beach spotted what was happening and ran towards his own motor boat only for a second unidentified speed boat to streak along the beach front spraying bullets at him. The immediate hope of Abi's rescue gone the two unknown assailant boats turned and made for open water.

Two hours later a video appeared on most social media networks, it showed Abi tied to a chair in a darkened room, three men holding assault rifles surrounded her, a gag placed in her mouth and a metal band around her head holding her rigid to the solid wooden chair. A man wearing a suit and bandana covering his face stepped in front of the camera.

"Queen Abigail we are the Children of the Gods. We are most disappointed, you are a woman who claims to uphold tradition. Since your coronation we have seen eight new feast days dedicated to religion, and not one to our own Gods. You are eroding the nations faith, watering it down with you Christianity non-sense and this must stop. You have 48 hours to meet our demands or little Abi here will die. First, we demand that all members of the royal family publically take oaths that they shall uphold our Odinist faith. Second, all Churches must close their doors this Sunday and never re-open. Third, we demand that all Christians are ordered to leave the Queendom within 7 days, and finally we demand that a sum of 25,000,000 Geld be paid into our organisation, this money to be taken from the coffers of the fat cat priests of the Christian God. Should you make any attempt to attack us, in the very unlikely event you find us, we will do this." the man turned a dial a quarter of a turn sending a jolt of electricity through Abi's body "Only next time it will be turned all the way up and I will not turn it off. You have 48 hours." the screen went blank.

As the video had been shown panic set in amongst those in the palace. The Queen was currently sat in the underground bunker securely beneath the Palace, it was invulnerable to all but the worst of attacks, the bank of TV screens showed various news programmes and live footage of different military feeds from across the Queendom. Abigail Junior's father arrived, the Queen walked over and hugged her nephew. "Richard, rest assured we will do whatever it takes to get her back. I don't care if we have to kill every member of that cult, we'll get her." the Queen said sternly as Richard took a seat around the glass topped table.

Brigadier Haslam of the Royal Light Rangers, the nations specialist commando unit picked up his phone. "Yeah Mike......ok.....get a few of the drones up.....yeah, live feed......keep me posted." He put down the phone. "Your Majesty, one of the search teams has found the boat they used to snatch her, we're sending a series of drones up to scout the local area for any signs of the group. We have one concern however, there is a light airfield in the area."

"Brigadier I will not accept failure on this one, I want Abi back in one piece. I do not care what you have to do, if you need my permission to torture the hell out of someone then do it, I don't care." The Queen was beginning to tear up at the thought of her beloved grand niece being in danger.

"Ma'am if we can get a lead within the next four hours I suspect we'll get her back quiet quickly, the danger is if they get her out of the country, then we'll have to start liaising with others and that becomes a real mess." The Brigadier said as he looked at a series of maps. "What worries me the most is that airfield. They get her to that then they could take her anywhere."

"Can't we get something to that airfield?" Richard asked, he was a serving Royal Navy officer but counter-terrorism was beyond him, give him a leaky ship and he was your man, ask him to plan a special ops mission and he was completely mystified.

"My fear sir is that if we appear to be acting aggressively they'll shoot her or something. We have one chance at this, we need to make sure we can take it cleanly." the Brigadier was very matter of fact, he'd conducted several hostage rescue operations but never one of this level of importance. A tech officer passed him a piece of paper, "We've got a live feed on the drone over the boat" he said pointing to the black and white image on the screen. To the Queen it didn't really make much sense other than the image, the mass of information around the edge confusing them. "We'll have them try and check the area. It'll take some time, might I suggest in the mean time Your Majesty might want to get some fresh air. I'll have Sergeant Markham and Corporal Jones go with you. Two fully equipped Rangers stood at the door.

"I'm going nowhere until you have her back." the Queen said sitting back and folding her arms.

"Please....just let me go" Abi sobbed as they dragged her into a dark room, a large metal ring had been cemented into the far wall and her kidnappers dragged her across to it before placing a small length of chain through it and locking it in place. The young girl now was confined to around a meter of space well away from the rooms door. A single light bulb flickered in the centre and a continuous drip of water came from one of the pipes that ran the length of the roof. "Please I didn't do anything, I just want to go home" Abi yelled as the men crossed back over to the door, as they silently exited a tall blonde haired man walked in his hands behind his back. Without saying a word he crossed over to Abi who was sat on the floor, he slowly crouched down next to her.

"Now, now, this simply won't do." he almost whispered reaching out a hand to wipe away one of her tears. Abi pulled away however the chain stopped her moving too far. "Now you have no reason to fear me. I don't want to harm you." his voice was like one you would use to speak to a frightened animal, soft and reassuring. He placed a hand on her arm and stroked it gently. "Listen Abigail, or do you prefer Abi?" he asked before waiting for a while. Abi said nothing but just looked at him through her tear filled eyes. "I'll call you Abi then." he continued. "Look, your going to be staying with us for a while. Now I'm sorry about the electric shock earlier, you see my brother, well he isn't quiet as civilised as I am, even this was his idea." he gestured to the surrounding room. "I'll try and make your stay as comfortable as possible, although that may be difficult, he'll be asking you to make a few videos for us, it would certainly be a good idea to help us out, ok?" Abi nodded. "Good girl. Now I'm going to see if I can find you a sandwich and maybe some soda or something. I'll get you some bedding. Cheese and ham ok for the sandwich." Abi relaxed slightly and found herself nodding. "Good, I'll be back shortly." he strode towards the door.

"Who are you?" Abi stammered as he reached the door.

The man stopped and half turned, "For the time being lets just say I'm Stephen and I'm one of the men who wants to reshape your country." he stepped outside and gently closed the door leaving Abi alone in the damp room with just the flickering light bulb and constant drip drip of the water for company.

-A MESSAGE FROM THE PRIME MINISTER OF THE MOST SERENE REPUBLIC OF SYRIXIA-

Your Majesty, Queen Abigail II of Morheim:

We have heard news of the kidnapping of your great niece by a religious cult, and we extend our hopes to you that she may return to her home safely. Syrixia can empathize with your current struggles against extremists such as these, as we have gone through these struggles too. However, we have overcome them thanks to help from our allies, and now we believe that the helped should become the helper. The Most Serene Republic of Syrixia has met in Parliament to discuss assisting your efforts in finding and locating your great niece and bringing the extremists to justice. With support from the Socialist, Nationalist, and Democratic parties and opposition by the Centrist Party, whom favored open negotiations between Morheim and the extremists; Syrixia has agreed to assist Morheimian efforts in finding your great niece due to the exceeding of the quota for legislation to be passed by the votes of our Ministers. We will assist in providing intelligence on the matter and working with Morheim to find new intelligence, as well as helping Morheimian military operations to scout out the extremists.

We sincerely hope you will accept our offer of assistance.

Regards,
Alfred Nursson
Prime Minister of Syrixia

To:- Prime Minister Nursson

May I first begin by thanking your nation for its kind offer of assistance during this difficult time.

The Children of The Gods are a group that have periodically presented a problem to our nation, however this is the first time they have carried out anything of this nature.

We would at this point appreciate any information you have on the whereabouts of the young hostage. Once this has been assertained then we would be glad of any assistance deemed necesarry to help bring her safely home.

Rest assured we will be in touch as soon as we hear anything and once again thank you and your nation for their kind words and support at this difficult time.

Best Regards

Duke Gerhard Braun

OOC - Drating Plane section

Should neither Narnia or Plembobria come back to me by Wednesday I'll move this on again.

Thanks for the interest folks.

OOC - SOrry the delays. Retraining is kicking my ass time wise.

Abi had lost track of how long she'd been in that dark room, with no natural light it had become hard to judge and her body was so tired. Occasionally a guard would come in and throw her a bottle of water or a ceral bar but aside from that she had no contact with anyone. She lost track of when she had stopped crying, the fact she had was probably more down to the fact she was so dehydrated rather than coming to terms with her situation. The door opened and Stephen walked in. "Now Abi, I think it's time we go for a little walk, let you stretch your legs, get the fusty smell of this place out your system." He unchained her from the wall but left her handcuffs on. He opened the door to the room and stepped aside, nervously Abi walked to the door and peered around the door frame. "It's quiet alright, come out" Stephen said as though trying to get an animal to leave its cage. Abi followed after some time and upon reaching the end of the corridor her capture opened a door flooding her eyes with sunlight. It took her a moment to get her sight back and when she did she found herself stood in a kind of walled garden, she could hear the sound of traffic outside. "Stretch your legs, you've an hour or so, sadly they must stay on." he said indicating the cuffs.

Abi sat on the bench that was in the centre of the garden. after getting a good look around the garden she noticed a door in the corner of the garden, she had no idea where it lead but along with the door she came through it was the only way in or out. She began pacing the perimeter when the door opened and a man carrying several large bags bundled his way in, Abi could see the outside world and as he struggled to keep hold of the bags and shut the door he didn't expect a ginger child to hurl herself at him, off balance he couldn't stop her as she ran outside, a long driveway in front of her, at the end of it she saw cars going back and forth. She sprinted as fast as she could screaming. Her right leg ached with every step due to the shackles they'd had on her, she spotted a man chasing her a small hand gun in his hand. Abi looked ahead hoping for help but all she saw was traffic whizzing past, she made it as far as the corner of the drive as she felt the man grab her, she tried to kick him off her and ended up in a heap on the floor with him kneeling on her. As she lay on her back struggling to breath she spotted across the street a sign "Plembobrian National Party" it had emblazoned on it. Her heart sank, she wasn't even in Morheim any more. She tried to scream one more time hoping someone would come.

A car appeared from the way she'd run and the man picked her up and threw her in the back seat. "Stupid cow" the man yelled at her as he climbed in after her.

"Is everything all right" a voice said from the front of the car. A middle aged woman stood looking at the driver. The man in the back covered Abi's mouth.

"Yeah all good thanks, my sister she has fits. Need to hold her or she hurts herself."

"Oh....should I phone an ambulance." The lady asked taking her mobile phone from her purse.

"Thanks Miss but its quicker to just take her ourselves." he wound his window up and headed out the drive to give the impression of heading into town. It was as the car rounded the corner she sighted the man in the back holding a hand gun and immediatly picked up her mobile and rang the Police.

A quick lap of the block they returned to the safe house via a rear entrance. This time Abi was placed back in the room and kept blindfolded. "Abi, that was very stupid, you could have got hurt." It was Stephen, "I'd dread to think what could have happened. See now you need to keep that on, this is very unpleasant but there is not much I can do. Now get some sleep, you'ev some big days ahead."

Lankfordshire Emergency Service Dispatch Office

Dispatch officer Stan Ewell looked at his computer screen. An alert appeared. It said, "Reported kidnapping. Armed captor. Possible hostage situation. Captive female, red hair. Vehicle license number: 05E05L. Last seen on 7th St."

He picked up a telephone handset and said into it, "I have a kidnapping somewhere 7th street. Young girl with red hair. License 05E05L. The captor is armed. I don't have a description. I need at least two unit on a search mission. Notify all patrols. Put out an alert."

Meanwhile at the police station, Officer Clarisse Norton hung up the phone. "Another kidnapping," she thought, "this stuff never ends well."

She walked out of the station and got into her patrol car. She was a lone agent. She didn't get along well with others, especially since most of the other officers were men. They always thought they knew best. And why should they? She had made more arrests than most of the guys on the force anyway.

Clarisse turned onto 7th street. The sides of the streets were smothered in campaign signs, especially PNP signs. The Nationals were obviously trying very hard to get votes in an normally left-leaning province. Clarisse sighed. She hated politics anyway. The only issue that really bothered her was the National's cuts to police funding.

Her radio came to life, "Extra info on the reported kidnapping. The subject was last seen heading away from the Central Gardens. Repeat: The Central Gardens."

"Copy that," she responded. She turned her vehicle around and headed in that direction.
