Due to historical circumstances in early 2008, a few Judicial elections were held in the Regional Assembly instead of the Elections area, and is thus archived in the RA Discussions and RA Voting archives.

Given that people generally expect elections to have been archived in the elections archive, (and given that I myself looked for one there and failed to find it earlier today...) I would like to move these elections' several topics to the Election Archive.

The topics in question are:

Nominations for Court Justice
RESULT: Special Election - Court Justice
REOPENED: Nominations for Court of TNP; April 2008 Elections/Special CJ Election
RESULTS: Judicial Election Court of TNP
RESULT: Special Judicial Election: Chief Justice
Associate Judge Nominations
VOTE: Associate Judge

Do it. I'd leave links to the moved topics in the RA archive though, and perhaps tag the threads somehow to denote their migration.
 
All that has to be done is to use the feature that leaves a link in their current location.

I'm mystified as to how those few threads went to the RA archives and not earlier elections as well. We haven't always had an elections area, so my guess is that these were somehow overlooked. It's also true that under the first post constitutional convention constitution, justices were nominated and confirmed by the RA, and not directly elected. About the only system we haven't used is a judicial qualifications commission approach which screens possible appointments, and sends a short list for selection. Maybe that method will be next. :)
 
I'd leave a link behind for historical purposes, if those threads were originally in the RA forum, in case someone remembered that's where they were, and looked for them in the RA archives.
