During the time Syrixia was known as the Second Republic of Demacia, there was a battle in Osship. The Battle of Kolan was fought between the Second Republic of Demacia, who then owned the land, and the neighboring nation known as Millica, who were notable during the time for committing massive amounts of human rights violations so they could conquer land.

Before the battle, there was no civilization in Osship, only various hunter-gatherer tribes from different areas of the North Pacifican archipelago. After the battle, peoples from both sides left their armies and created civilizations. Eventually, they united and then further united with the hunter-gatherers to create the city-state of Osshivilla.

However, the battle still raged. Demacia won, and as a result Millica collapsed. This is when Demacia (and it's successors') legitimate claim to the region was recognized. However, all nations fall, and it wasn't until three government changes later that the Republic of Syrixia once again tried to obtain the land.

The Communist government had been switched to a republic recently, and the Parliament wanted to strengthen the ideal of peace by diplomatically reclaiming Osship. That's when this story begins.

Chief Surveyer John Dolan led his party, ready to re-survey Osship, through the broad North Pacifican grasslands. It was pristine and the soldiers were happy, seeing wonderful sights every day as they got closer and closer to the Designated Territorial Area of Osship, of which had not been surveyed in a long time. The Demacian records from those times were lost.

Meanwhile, 400 years after the Battle of Kolan, (when this story happens) the Grand Poobah of Osshivilla, Pulir II, was worried. The city's economy was failing, and the people of Osship needed support from someone, but nobody in Osship was rich, not even the Grand Poobah. It was only a matter of time before the city would collapse, he was told by his researchers.

They didn't know who would come, if at all, but they needed help, quick.
