Breaking News: Remains of an ancient, undiscovered palace beneath to Crymson Palace have been discovered post-battle.
Artist's impresson of the library if it was restored and no longer damaged.
Two weeks and one day after the Battle of Crymsale, which took place on 385D 17:92GM, a small battle against the Eknorve rebels and Syrixian Peacekeepers which the Cronaali National Army had no involvement in due to time constraint, a crater on the North East side of the Crymson Palace of Cronaal was discovered to have opened up a cavity of open space beneath the palace. The reason this had never been found before was due to a law which disallowed any form of digging and construction on the land of the Crymson Palace, this of course excludes gardening, meaning that it was essentially impossible to find this isolated room beneath the palace. After several days of intensive research and archaeology, this room was concluded to be the mythological Library of Engal'desna Lokir Thorosone des Bavc (Library of Engal for shot). Tourist and foreign officials are being denied entry to the site.
The myth of the library is rather simple and has been simplified by generations of 'lazy' story telling.
"During the birth of civilization in Cronaal, known as Harindi then, a man, a prophet even, named Baragiun des Kahnese, (who is also theorized to be an indirect relative of the Kahn family, the rulers of Eknorvia), led the early pilgrims and nomads into a new age of life. He commanded them to build, build the glorious and ancient city of Varathyr two million years ago. This city was different however, it was to be built beneath the rocky peaks of their bastion, their megalith. Mt Ganjar. It was one of the greatest constructions of the ancient world, despite being hundreds of thousands of years before the 'ancient world' began, and was a closely guarded secret by the Cronaali and Azkayii people, (Azkay was their trade partner a short hundred years after the completion of the city).
The city reached thousands of miles deep into the mountain and was a sprawling epicenter of life and culture for many hundred thousands of years to come as the Eknorve Isle around the city grew bigger and taller with the increasing amount of surface cities and services soon rendering the city of Varathyr obsolete as the air vents began to collapse inwards and the city became harder to live in. The city was finally abandoned by all people, other than a small selection of expert masons and carpenters of whom the Vilsuun entrusted to construct the Will of the Prophet. This Will was to construct a grand library beneath a watchtower of Varathyr and conserve the ancient and powerful knowledge, witchcraft and alchemy of the almighty nation of Cronaal. These builders spent 10 years constructing the cylinder-shaped room and writing the extensive knowledge of the nation. But what was their work for? To close the room away for the rest of time behind an endless path of stone."
One of the more notable books found within the library is the Book of Versaides, it is currently unknown as of what is written inside the book due to the extreme fragility of the book, considering it is almost 2 million years old. The only reason archaeologists believe the book to be important is die to it's unusual placement in the library. It was placed on a pedestal in the center of the ceiling and was engraved with Alamayphyr, a gold-like material exclusive to Dondrae which is a smaller and minor nation in Eknorvia.
