The Eknorve Civil War, which Guslantis assisted in to extract Cronaali civilians has brought much attention to the nation of Guslantis. However, it has also brought much despair with the loss of one of Guslantis' best generals. General Emily Akerman, who was a five star general, is most famous for the war with Zemnaya Svoboda. Akerman aligned the Guslantis Air Force with the Guslant Marines to build a massive two-pronged attack on Zemnaya Svoboda. The war was ultimately a failure however, as Zemnaya Svoboda was allied with other nations.

After the war, which would be known as the Schnellerkrieg to the Guslants, Akerman moved on to become President Hilley's leading general. She spent most of the months after the war coming up with strategical plans, and built the large Guslant Navy from former cargo ships. When the Eknorve Civil War broke out, the Hilley family knew they had to save as many citizens as possible. Unknown to the rest of the region, Akerman and Beier came up with an ultimate plan involving the Guslant hovercrafts and their newest creation, the Guslant Gold.

The government of Guslantis worked closely with Syrixia to extract the rebels, and one eyewitness to one of the planning meetings notes that Akerman had purposely placed all of the high-ranking generals aboard the hovercrafts because she knew the rebels would fire on the hovercrafts, sparing the lives of the lesser trained soldiers who could have piloted the hovercrafts. Akerman passed away soon after her hovercraft was shot down.

Her replacement will be General John Delford, a Guslant that was living in Syrixia, and his second-in-command will be Nancy Scottsfield.

We are happy that General Delford is back home where he came from, and we are sad to hear of Akerman's passing. We give the whole of Guslantis our deepest condolences.
