Mr. Toms: Hello everyone and welcome to an exciting episode of our show. Today, we have Tomb, the Vice Delegate candidate for the 2015 General Election. Tomb, thank you so much for joining us tonight.
Tomb: No problem, glad to be here.
Mr. Toms: So first of all, and to make this as brief as possible as I do know that you have plenty of election planning to do, would you like to get started right ahead?
Tomb: Sure.
Mr. Toms: Ok, Tomb. So let’s get our voters familiarized with who you are. When did you join the region?
Tomb: I joined the region on March 4, 2014. I have been playing Nation States for about 9 months now.
Mr. Toms: Wow! It looks like you have achieved a lot over the past nine months. Can you tell us a bit about your resume?
Tomb: Yes, of course. In the period of these nine months, I have been part of the Regional Assembly, part of The North Pacific Army, and part of the Executive Staff. I have also been serving as Minister of Home Affairs for about 5 months, which has given me a lot of insight in the operation of the Cabinet and the Executive Staff in general. In addition to that, as part of the Home Affairs staff, I enjoy working directly with new comers, training them, and see them go and prosper in The North Pacific. I have also outlined this in my candidacy declaration thread located right
Here.
I am also part of the Diplomatic Corps, a journalist for The Northern Lights, and I am serving as a deputy minister for the Communications Ministry. That’s it for now. Although, I do hope that Vice Delegate will be added to the resume soon.
Mr. Toms: Okay, Tomb. I find it really amazing how you managed to do so much in nine months. Before I go on, let me ask you, why are you running for Vice Delegate? Why not continue to work in Home Affairs?
Tomb: The reason I am running for the position of Vice Delegate is because I would like to contribute more to The North Pacific. I have been in the cabinet, the Regional Assembly, the North Pacific Army, and many other organizations, and I have gained so much experience and knowledge. Huge thanks to The North Pacific community for accepting me and giving and mentoring me. I now feel obliged to return the favor. I want the people who had mentored me, and The North Pacific to be proud through seeing me contribute in a greater scale as Vice-Delegate of the region. But above all, I want to be Vice-Delegate to keep this region secure and to gain a higher level of experience in the Executive branch of the government.
Mr. Toms: Thank you for that. Now, would you mind talking about RL?
Tomb: Of course not.
Mr. Toms: Okay, can you start by telling us anything that you want your voters to know about you?
Tomb: Well, hmmm…. Where should I start? First of all, I’m a freshman in College planning to major in biochemistry in the long/short run, depending on how you look at it. My interests vary. I love sightseeing. I have been to the Niagara Falls, the Giza Pyramids, the Grand Canyon, Eiffel Tower, and a couple of other lesser known locations that I absolutely love and think that life is not the same without seeing them. In addition to that, I love traveling, and I have been to Mexico, Canada, England and Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Russia, Egypt, and Turkey. Reading is a hobby that I absolutely adore and love. I am currently reading two books, Gray Mountain and Gone Girl, two very interesting and good books so far. I love food, but my favorite meals are international foods. By far, Middle Eastern, Italian, and Mexican meals are on top of my food favs. And then comes, my interest in politics. I like following up on politics and seeing what’s happening where, and everything of that sort. However, I do try and keep my political views to myself and not to offend anyone with my beliefs at all.
Mr. Toms: How would you describe your political ideology?
Tomb: This has been asked before, and like I said before, I am a democratic socialist, and that’s something that I grew up with. It has rarely influenced my actions though, and I have always voted for the candidate I personally feel would be right for the job, not based on their political party, etc.
Mr. Toms: Thank you so much for that, Mr. Tomb. Two final questions before I let you go for the night, and hand it over to the audience for questions. First of all, if there was a moment where you really felt joy in The North Pacific when would that be? And secondly, when are you planning to release your campaign thread?
Tomb: I got a message from a member whose no longer with us, but he was one of the first TNPers I ever mentored. In that message he thanked me for all I did to mentor him and teach him about TNP. At that moment, and even though his message was so simple, it made me feel very… happy. As for releasing my campaign thread, well, it’s coming very, very soon. But I can’t reveal all my cards, now, can I?
Mr. Toms: Alright, Tomb. That’s it for today’s show. Tomorrow we will be covering a topic suggested by the good old Mr. Falap.
(The screen goes black. Thank you for watching everyone. And stay tuned to another exciting episode tomorrow night.)
