-THE BALAMB CHRONICLE-
BREAKING- Elections are coming in Syrixia! Come December 7th, elections will begin in Election Halls across Syrixia's major cities and provincial capitals! Citizens are expected to vote fairly, and those who commit voter fraud shall be promptly arrested. The candidates have been selected from a roster containing a number of important people in our government! However, as is Syrixian tradition, we would like other nations to vote! The Prime Minister requests that our allies duly announce their responses and their supporters. Their votes will be counted as 3 votes while normal Syrixian citizens' votes will count as 1. The candidates are as follows:
PRIME MINISTER:
-The R. Hon. John Sirus, incumbent. Advocates peace and moves for progression of Syrixian technology, culture and power.
-Ministress Licia Dorina. Advocates war and is known for being rather bloodthirsty. Rumored to advocate dictatorship, though this is not confirmed.
-Minister Alfred Nursson. Advocates the advancement of the Space Program above all else, and claims that Syrixia could reach Mars by 2016 if he is elected. That said, he has been quoted saying "Space space space. Everything else can go to hell. Space is more important."
MINISTER OF DEFENSE:
-Sir Auel Vist, incumbent. Advocates the progression of the army and the introduction of peacekeeping forces.
-Minister Adowa Nola. Believes that the army is a threat to peace and wishes to disband it and embrace, quote, "peace, love, and happiness, man..." End quote.
MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND CULTURE:
Sir Shaw Atlas, incumbent. Wants to increase and promote friendly diplomatic ties with allies and advocates Sir Vist's wish to create peacekeeping forces.
Minister James Naadi. Isolationist. Wants to revert back to the old Mehetist quiet-development ways and cease contact from the outer world.
Minister Thalia Kahaula'Elepo. Wishes to promote the arts and wants to erect museums across the country, though this could strain the economy. She suggests solving this by putting more funds into the Ministry of Culture.
MINISTER OF JUSTICE:
Sir Savus Archelius, incumbent. Believes in the right to a fair trial by jury for all, and moves to rehabilitate prisoners rather than torture them.
Minister Augustus Smith. Advocates torture, claiming it will get us more information out of prisoners so we can have more information during trials. Also advocates a fair trial by jury.
