This is the third question of the debate for the election for Attorney General.

What cases would you not prosecute?

This question comes from Lord Nwahs.

This thread is for Attorney General candidates only. Posts by other members will be removed. AG candidates are encouraged to answer the questions first before responding to the comments of others.

Thank you.

For example: a case in which insufficient evidence is present, which would make it very difficult to argue a case in the first place, and would simply be a waste of the Court's time.

I am of the opinion that there is no case that I can specifically state I would not prosecute. That does not mean I would prosecute every case brought before the AG's office. But, complaints need to be assessed on a case by case basis and prosecution decisions should be made on the merits of that particular case.

I would try to prosecute all cases, and listen to what everyone has to say. But if a case is blatantly a troll, or illegal, I won't. However, I would try to give every case a good chance.
