Sea Lion Makes Hasty Departure
Liverfool, ALUNYA -- After making several routine port calls in the North Pacific, the Royal Alunyan Naval Ship Sea Lion was hastily called upon to make way by the Kingdom of Alunya. The 217-year-old flagship of the navy was recalled at once. A source familiar with the situation said the vessel will proceed southeast under sail past Dalies, Legington, Nessuno, Tenebritia and Scandigrad enroute to a transit through the McMasterdonian Canal.
The heavy fifty-four gun three-masted frigate last saw action almost two years ago in the war with the Republic of Bolidor. In that conflict, she managed to knock down the steeple of St. Polycarp Roman Catholic church in Korea City-Kildecat, Alunya, after several broadsides. Prior to that she last saw action off of Cape Trafalgar in support of the French Navy, where she was forced to beat a hasty retreat.
It is unclear as to why she is now being recalled, though it is of note that the orders came directly from His Royal Majesty King Guglielmo. Her Royal Majesty Queen Junia and the Constitutional Monarchy were not informed of the re-deployment. Sources say that Her Royal Majesty has attempted to contact His Royal Majesty for an explanation but no reply has been forthcoming. Major deployments of armed forces require notification to both Governments in accordance with the treaty of Pusseldorf.
The RANS Sea Lion has been recalled to the Kingdom of Alunya on mysterious orders directly from the King. Seen here, she is getting ready to make way.
Also unclear is the status of the RANS Sea Tigress which is undergoing sea trials after her refurbishment. The escort frigate had successfully bombarded a Bolidorean banana boat before grounding. The escort frigate had managed to dent the steel hull of the enemy vessel with her round of cannonballs, and her crew was cited for meritorious valor in the action.
Families of sailors aboard the Sea Lion may greet them upon her return to the Port of Culcatta in a few weeks' time. The actual schedule of arrival is dependent upon the vagaries of the wind.
