Z-Day Roleplay

If nobody is aware, on October 30 players will have to deal with a third zombie apocalypse. Players can focus on things such as research, exterminating the the zombies or even helping the zombies out.

Interestingly enough, (and in the case you haven't been keeping up with RL news) an Ebolavirus outbreak has been a problem for almost a year now, and it's interesting to hear news about how a country has developed a vaccine or how they are trying to keep the virus out of their country (not interesting in a good way mind you, especially considering how deadly and how disturbing the whole thing is, but still a bit interesting to look into deeply).

So, on October 30, 2014, why don't we participate in a roleplay about the zombie virus or some other threat? Biological threats are very real threats and it would be interesting to see Nationstates players, who take on the role to lead a nation through their own means, deal with a biological outbreak such as pandemic. It could also last longer, and it can be more indepth by finding how the outbreak came about. Just an idea.

I think a viral outbreak, like a tsunami, massive volcanic eruption, meteoroid impact, nuclear power plant meltdown, or an earthquake are all good role play scenarios, and I would be interested in any one of them. (I've done a tsunami before, and apparently at some point a tsunami was done in The North Pacific as well.)

My only suggestion would be to decouple it from Z-Day altogether. We'll all be so busy with that event that any role play conducted concurrently is bound to suffer from lack of attention.

And I see no reason why events in one role-play thread can't spill over into other role-play threads. I can't imagine a certain Principessa would be too happy at being quarantined, for instance.
