Sept. 2014 General Elections

The North Pacific community was anticipating an election when September came.
The North Pacific holds General Elections in January, May, and September for Delegate, Vice Delegate, and Speaker of the Regional Assembly (RA.) As the time came, everyone expected the incumbents to run again, and so they did with exception of the Speaker of the RA, Zyvetskistaahn.

Anyways, as the candidacy declaration started, the incumbent Delegate r3naissanc3r and Vice Delegate Abacathea accepted their nominations.
However, something unexpected happened during the Vice Delegate candidacy declaration. Flemingovia, Romanoffia, Democratic Donkeys, and Falaptorius all declared or accepted their nominations for Vice Delegate. McMasterdonia, Minister of Foreign Affairs made a list of the strengths of each candidate and the potential they had in winning this election. The list can be viewed at: http://forum.thenorthpacific.org/single/?p=8161235&t=7235038.
Meanwhile, Mall declared his candidacy for Delegate, and Lord Nwahs, the Minister of Culture at the time, declared his candidacy for Speaker of the RA. Malvad who had also declared his candidacy eventually threw his support for Lord Nwahs also.

And so with in a few days, the race has started! It was obvious from the beginning that the Delegate and Speaker races were going to be a landslide victory for r3naissanc3r and Lord Nwahs, respectively. The Vice Delegate race saw more competition among the candidates and everyone knew that it was going to be a rough race. The results for Delegate and Speaker of the RA races came out as an overwhelming victory for r3n and Lord Nwahs. The Vice Delegacy race came out with none of the candidates reaching the 50% mark. So a Run-off election was called between Abacathea and Flemingovia, which Abacathea emerged as the victor of.

Later on, R3n made his cabinent announcement. In it, he appointed Gladio as Minister of Defense, McMasterdonia as Minister of Home Affairs, Malvad as Minister of Culture, Punk d as Minister of Communications, Abacathea as Minister of Regional Security, and The Democratic Republic of Tomb as Minister of Home Affairs.
The announcement can be viewed at:

And so with that, Delegate R3n’s government got another term, and it will be exciting to see his government’s incoming accomplishments specially with new faces in the cabinet.
