War of the Five plus Three Kings

As part of the Game of Thrones week, we will be holding the following tournament using in-game regional polls.

[color=2F4F4F]War is ravaging the Seven Kingdoms! Five plus three Kings are fighting for the right to sit on the Iron Throne. Only one will win this right.

Will the Baratheon brothers move back into King's Landing? Will the dragon-riding Daenerys or her nephew Aegon return the throne to the original royal dynasty? Will the northerners from Winterfell and Beyond the Wall descend to the southern kingdoms victorious? Or will the longboats of the Ironmen prove mighty enough to win the land kingdom as well?

The claimant kings and their armies are engaging in fierce battles, with thousands of casualties. But the most important battle is starting now - the battle for the nations of The North (Pacific).[/color]

[color=2F2F2F]What's happening:[/color]

[color=2F4F4F]For the duration of the[/color] [color=2F2F2F]Game of Thrones week[/color][color=2F4F4F], we will be holding a tournament to decide the outcome of the War of the Five Plus Three Kings. Every day, the bracket shown below will pair two of the claimants to the throne and their armies to a battle. The winning side will be determined by regional poll and will advance to the next round. The losing side will be eliminated, with the corresponding claimant king dying a unique and cruel death - in proper Westerosian fashion.

At the end of the week, the victor will be crowned King of the Seven Kingdoms and will ascend to the Iron Throne.[/color]

[color=2F4F4F]Yes, we are well aware that the War in the Song of Ice and Fire books and Game of Thrones TV series and only involved five kings. We are also well aware that not all of them were fighting for the Iron Throne. But we took the liberty of expanding the field of claimants to the throne by three (hence the name of the War), so that we can have a nice bracket for the tournament. And of course, the more claimants, the more polls we can have![/color]

Mance Rayder's army beat Joffrey's in the first battle. Renly Baratheon and Robb Stark are currently fighting, but the Northerners already have a strong edge.

Robb Stark did indeed defeated Renly Baratheon. There is currently a battle between the armies of Stannis Baratheon and Aegon Targaryen. Vote to determine the victor!

Aegon Targaryen defeated Stannis Baratheon in yesterday's battle. The result was very close - a pyrrhic victory perhaps? We shall see further down the road. For now, Balon Greyjoy's fleet is facing Daenerys Targaryen's dragons. Vote to determine who will win!

The war continues! Half the claimants to the throne have already been slain. One more will be after this vote. Will it be Mance Rayder or Robb Stark? Vote to decide!

Robb Stark survived his wedding to defeat fellow Northerner Mance Rayder, and Daenerys had her dragons eat her nephew Aegon Targaryen.

The young wolf is now facing the mother of dragons in the final battle of the war. Vote to determine who wins the Iron Throne!
