Q1) Firstly, congratulations on your election to the position of monarch of Balder again. Would you agree that you have taken this office at a time of relative inactivity and stagnation in Balder?

Relatively yes. Forum activity has declined since we broke records last year. But it's been a bit of a cumulative effect given that the region has far less WA nations than it did previously, hence less new members to join up and make a difference. Furthermore, there have been growing pains with regards to changing how the region is ran.

Q2) What do you believe is the root cause of this inactivity?

I don't believe in root causes. Generally there are two schools of thoughts when it comes to activity. One in which argues that the burden resides on the leadership and another which argues that the burden resides on populace. I think we've seen a bit of both, as well as a bit of bad luck. Furthermore, the delegacy election happening and then having to delay the leadership change really was a lost month in which people lost interest.

Q3) I note that you have decided to remove the position of Statsminister. When did you decide to remove the position of Statsminister? Did this form part of your campaign for monarch?

I decided the day of, but I had been mulling the idea over the past few days. It was not part of my campaign. After I became Queen, I tried a few initiatives to increase activity. Unfortunately, these felt pretty futile compared to the results last time I was monarch. It's difficult reaching out to people with promises of a better future. We need to be doing everything we can be doing in order to reverse the current course.

First was a big injection of posts, secondly it was cutting some of the red-tape and changing some of the leadership positions and thirdly it's now been trying to change some of these things myself legally. At the very least, this has been a good exploration of the legislative processes as well as a re-affirmation of our beliefs in strong governance and high standards in order for us to reach our potential.

Q4) RIght now the Riksdag is voting to support or reject your royal decree. Right now, the vote is very close. What will you do if the vote fails?

I will accept the decision. It would be unfortunate but we live and we must always respect the laws above all else and try to do our best within them. I will definitely be really tough on the next StatsMinister should that happen though. We just can't have ministers who haven't been on the forums for over a month.

Q5) You mentioned earlier, that Balder has seen a sharp decline in the number of WA’s in the region. How is the ratio of WA members to non WA members on your forum and present? Do you intend to attempt to increase the number of native WA”s active on your offsite?

Personally, I feel the ratio is pretty good on our forums. Many members choose to keep their WA here, including all the older members. Everyone believes in the dream and accepts the outcomes. I do intend to increase the number of native WAs in the sense that to increase the number of nations on our offsite. No special treatment.

Q6) What dream are you referring to?

The dream that is Balder of course. Many of our eldest members have stayed here and made Balder their home. Despite losses in elections or political defeats, members stay and work for different outcomes within the legal framework. That stability and dedication has been so important for us. It was something you did not see in the Osiris prior to the OFO take-over. Members there would threaten to coup the region if they did not get their way. But here, Balder is more important than any individual and all of its members have bought into that belief.

Q7) One last question Rach, during your last term of Government in Balder, the region saw a collapse in diplomatic relations with Lazarus. Do you believe that there is an opportunity for reconciliation and would you intend to pursue that course?

There is always an opportunity for reconciliation but it is not something I am actively going to pursue.

Thank you!
