Ambassador Erwin August: I have fought in many conflicts with the eventual goal of establishing a democratic form of government. I fought to unite The Lancerian Empire and I fought to topple the regimes of Vicci and Nadal in Malvad. I have gained many allies and friends along the way, from prime ministers to radiomen. My dream has always been to be able to promote democracy. Now I am able to promote it through diplomacy and peace. As Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Union I will work to guarantee the rights of all citizens within the Union and work towards bringing freedom to all citizens of The North Pacific. I will promote peace, prosperity, and diplomacy. I will use my time as Deputy Chairman to gain more experience and be prepared to assume the position of Chairman. I will represent my country, the Union, and the region. And I will serve them with honor.
Interim President Samuel Lourdes: I was an Admiral in the Imperial Malvadian Navy. I lead the esteemed and famed Second Fleet of Malvad. After Vicci's second coup I joined the Free Malvad Movement after Vicci had the Second Fleet disbanded. I have always worked for the freedom and protection of Malvad. I am one of Malvad's most trusted figures. As Interim President I am working towards finally bringing full democracy to our citizens. If our nation held the Deputy Chairmanship we would be able to greatly expand our democratic opportunity and express our struggle to the international community. As a major leader we could once again return to our former glory as a nation promoting peace and prosperity to all across our great region.
Interim Prime Minister Sans Vigil: I was the commander of the Free Malvad Revolution. I served under the late Minister Andrew Winters. He was my mentor, ally, leader, and friend. Before he was killed he taught me that democracy is something that all good men must safely guard. For the minute we stop our vigilance, darkness takes control. My goal is to constantly and consistently protect our democracy, our freedoms, and our lives. If Malvad held the Deputy Chairmanship we would be able to promote the ideals of democracy on a regional and global scale. We would be able to use this time to raise our fledgling democracy and prepare our nation to assume the responsibilities of Chairman.
OOC: I live in the United States of America. While it is far from perfect, the people of this nation are raised on the idea that democracy is the greatest form of government. I have always wanted to serve in government. I have always wanted to serve the people and make our country a better place. Which is what I want to do here. I want to make The North Pacific a better place. I want to expand the role play aspect of TNP. I want to promote democracy. I want to promote peace and make friends. I want to be Deputy Chairman because I want to be a leading part of the Democratic Union. I want to improve it, make it bigger and better.
I also want to be the Deputy for a few other reasons. The first is that I feel I can help more as a supportive leader rather than the main leader of the organization. I feel I will be able to expand and improve more after the Union has had time to grow. I trust that Lord Nwahs will be able to push the Union in the right direction during his term. I trust his leadership abilities and believe that he will do what is right.
I did not pursue the Chairmanship for three reasons. I believed that my nation should be fully democratic first. The first chairman should be more democratic. I also did not wish to challenge Lord Nwahs as I felt he would be a perfect fit. Finally, we are going into some busy months for me. I will still be on plenty and will be able to serve but I did not want to take the top position in the case that something made it much harder for me to be on.
