After what everyone could call a Humiliating defeat for BCP Candidate Edwin Astor, Lord Haldane, (former Monarch of the United Kingdom, moved into No. 10 Downing Street. The election which was held June 24th saw 24 people voting, 16 of those supported Lord Haldane Compared to 7 supporting Edwin and 1 voting none of the above. Lord Haldane, went right to work by naming his cabinet:

A Speaker is Chosen
Unlike the last session of Parliament, this Session electing a speaker went off without issue. Two Candidate vied for the position: Duke of Northumberland and Mr. Fraser of Northern Ireland, it was a close election but in the end Lord Haldane cast his Vote for Mr. Fraser.[c]
First Order of Business... Military Stance Review

The first item undertaken by Parliament was to pass a bill to allow fora referendum by our citizens on our region's Military stance. The bill after a few changes gained near unanimous support and established a referendum to be Held on July 7th with runoff following should there be no clear winner.

THE CROWN, PRIME MINISTER, AND DEFENCE SECRETARY SUED OVER MILITARY OPERATION
MIDDLESEX GUILDHALL, LONDON (Supreme Court): Princess Royal Constance St.James has filed a suit against King James III, Prime Minister Lord Haldane, and Defence Secretary Vac Mikaelson with Attoney General William Kudrow representing them, over a recent military operation in the Kingdom of Britain
The petitioner makes claims that the recent military operation overseas violated the Military Stance Reform Act, which assures that the region has a defender military stance. The respondent seeks relief with " an order from this Court enjoining the named respondents, in their official capacities, and their successors, in their official capacities, from authorizing any further military activities inconsistent with Sec. 8 of the Military Stance Reform Act."
The Court is now considering the case

UNITED KINGDOM and BRITISH ISLES RELAUNCH DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS
WHITEHALL, LONDON (Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Office):
On June 29th, 2014, the United Kingdom and British Isles finally reopened embassies with one another, marking a era of diplomatic peace between the two British states. The embassies where first closed due to complications and disagreements in the past between individuals of each nation.
The proposal to re-establish relations was first brought up by William Mikaelson in the British Isles forums, and very soon, after the political terms of each region ended. the two governments agreed to re-establish consular relations with one another.
