Currently, there are regional organizations, government bureaucracy, political parties, but there is no official History article or Factbook on the North Pacific. I think we should write one. We do have a Delegate archive, which is a start, but we don't have a condensed historical account(and timeline) of all the major events that have transpired in our history. Our constitutional section to the proposed official Regional History could read like the following:
"As of today, The North Pacific has gone through four constitutions and it is currently operating under number five. How did this happen? From what sources at the ADN website(Naivetry Reference Library), the old TNP and Directorate forums indicate, apparently within the first year and a half of constitutions, the TNP ratified and abolished two constitutions. This seems to have been due to legal issues, constant raiding and coups in the early years of the region. The first constitution was passed on 9 June 2004 after months of debate, but the delegate had disappeared, so it wasn't ratified until late July. Things were apparently stable until around June 29 when UPSRail took advantage of this legal uncertainty and aligned the region with the Francoist New Pacific Order. Francoist control(under Great Bight) lasted to late July when TNP forces took back the region with ADN help. A couple of months later, another incident threatened our democracy which still has ramifications to this day. At the time, TNP only had an executive branch which handled judicial and legislative functions through its ministers. When the presiding delegate, Pixiedance, handed their account password over to Gracius Maximus, the Minister of Justice. This action gave him enough legal authority to setup the Directorate. Constitutionalist attempts to remove him failed and it seemed like the region was lost. However, Gracius Maximus/Pierconium lost interest in the region over the winter of 2004-2005 and by April, the constitutionalists were able to take back the region. The 2nd constitution was ratified while the old govt was still in exile and was put into effect immediately. It separated the powers of the executive and judiciary branches and lasted until July when it was replaced by the 3rd Constitution, which created the Regional Assembly and Security Council, two important institutions that exist to this day"
As we approach the decennial of the passage of our first constitution, I think it is interesting how far we have progressed from that original document and what it took to get where we are today. It will take time to research and compile all the information, but I'm sure it will be an interesting read once it is finished.
