Europeians take a break from their daily schedules to vote.

On April 18th, Europeians voted for their next Senate. Six members ran for the 6 available seats. Newcomer Dr. Yuri Razhtigr was able to come away with the top vote count along with Kraketopia. Cormac finished second and Drecq, Raging Zen Master and Elias Greyjoy finished 3rd. Long time speaker Drecq was chosen by the Senate to be speaker once more.

Elias pierces Europeia's enemies with his eyes.
Following Grand Admiral Cerian Quilors and Minister of Communication HEMs resignation due to the dreaded real life, President Anumia has replaced them with Elias Greyjoy and Rachel Somerset respectively. Since becoming Grand Admiral, Elias Greyjoy has helped the Navy to a victory in Pueri Solis. Rachel meanwhile has presided over the Europeian Broadcasting Corporation as its producing more articles and that once again has a presence on the NS forums.
Mousebumples Election Invalidated
Mouse fought the law and the law won.
After winning her fourth election as Chairwoman of the Citizens Assembly, Mousebumples looked poised to continue to build upon her success. However, it turns out that she wasn't officially seconded during the nomination period and the Courts of Europeia invalidated her election. This open the door for a new leader for the Citizens Assembly as Mousebumples ruled out running again.
Thus far; old time and recent returnee PhDre, the multiple former Chairman Drexlore Greyjoy and bright newcomer Victoria North have thrown their hats in the ring.
Euro-Equilism Festival - A Killer Atmosphere

In early April, the Republic was rocked by the murder of President Anumia (in an RP sense, of course) during the first leg of the Europeia-Equilism Festival. However, the killer couldn't be found until the end of the second leg in Equilism, mostly because
The Murder Mystery RP (described above) proved incredibly popular - it was probably the most popular event at the festival, though other events were also garnered a lot of interest. A multitude of competitions and spam games were also on offer for the entertainment of the festival-goers. One such competition was the regional post count competition, which produced a whopping 1,003 posts in just over a week. There were arcade and avatar contests as well, which also created much mirth among participants.
The festival is being described as a roaring success, with Culture Minister Zenny revealing during the closing ceremony that this particular festival was the 'single most popular festival and cultural exchange in all of Europeia's history' (in regards to post count and number of participants). Hopefully this trend will continue!
