Resignation

I resign as Election Commissioner for the March 2014 judicial election. I'm done dealing with the hot mess that is TNP's election law. I only took the job because Mcmasterdonia asked me to do it as a favor, and I thought, "How bad could it possibly be?" Clearly I had forgotten that I'm in The North Pacific.

There is no provision in the Legal Code for replacing an Election Commissioner -- shocking, I know -- so good luck with that.

Section 4.4: General and Judicial Elections
13. Election Commissioners will be appointed by the Delegate to oversee the nomination and election processes at least one week before the beginning of the month in which the election is to be held. If an appointment of Election Commissioners has not been made by that time, the Chief Justice shall promptly make the appointment.

Since it is within the one week timeframe the Chief Justice can appoint an Election Commissioner 'promptly'.

This is not even to mention that an appointment was made, per the law. I'm just resigning. The law doesn't deal with that because TNP's laws are ludicrous..

Exactly. Since that time period has passed, then it falls to the Chief Justice.
