Pacific Senator To Appeal Suspension for Participation in "War-Oriented Parties"
To Elegarth's Dismay, Krulltopia Reaffirms Opposition to Userite War Groups of All Forms
"Safety is not an option for those affected by war parties."Praetorian Guard Hall, The Pacific - To the puzzlement of some, Emperor Krulltopia announced his suspension of Senior Senator of Foreign Affairs Elegarth this morning, in response to the Senator's attendance of a highly controversial "war party" in The South Pacific. War parties are a popular practice in The Pacific. These parties usually occur in dimly-lit apartments at night or outdoors, and attendees play imaginative games themed around national wars and conflicts, both themed off of fictional conflicts and non-fictional conflicts. They are a cornerstone of Pacifica's youth culture, and really, a source of good fun.
The Order previously lacked a stance on war parties. In his statement before the press, however, his Supreme Bunnyness clarified the Order's stance on the cultural phenomenon and Elegarth's status:
On March 5th, Praetorians observed Senator Elegarth in the act of participating in what has only been described as a "pro-Durkadurkiranistani war party". Pacifica strongly condemns the encouragement of userite-on-feederite violence. It is entirely inappropriate for a NPO Official to covertly engage in the promotion of violence or to promote Durkadurkiranistan's userite movement. Elegarth's participation a war-oriented party of this sort has galvanized his immediate suspension from the Senatorship for Foreign Affairs. Out of respect to his long record of service, he may be graced with reinstatement if he curtails his association with these userite war groups.
Members of the Senator's staff are fervidly disputing the suspension, and have pled for both public support and for a formal appeal before Regent Rothinzil. While verifying the allegations that the Senator was willingly participating in a water balloon and 'super soaker' fight themed around the armed conflict between Durkadurkiranistani's 2010 regime and The North Pacific, the Senator's staffers insist that his reason for being on the userite side was "wholly innocent". Elegarth commented, "TNP's four-man team was full, and the Durkadurkiranistanis were the only other group with a vacancy in the game. What was I supposed to do?" The Emperor's Officer has declined to comment on these pressing questions and are not expected to do so any time soon.
