I recall when I first came to The North Pacific it was difficult at times to get involved because it was hard to learn about the history of the region.

It would be great to write down some of the history and to start on this I figured a list of former TNP delegates might be helpful. I'd appreciate any other information not displayed here.

I've been thinking about this as well - it would be cool to have a Hall of Delegates or similar, with the Nations name, length of service and their flag (assuming we could find it using webarchives or something).

Ator People used to have a website that displayed a timeline of Delegates but that is no longer available. I will message him about it and see if he can provide a list when he next comes online.
 
And this list starts from what year? O.o

I remember reading about a certain figure known as Great Bight, who was a dictator or something.

Yeah it is incomplete, I just pulled what I could from the history page on NationStates.

I created a timeline googledocs based on the sources mentioned and the history page. Eluvatar is helping me with an additional source.
 
Here is a site that has some information about the history of the North Pacific. http://s4.zetaboards.com/UDL/topic/9735305/1/ It mentions somewhere else on the site about a 'North Pacific Civil War' and I am curious as to what that was about. Unfortunately, it does not cover all the regions equally (for example, there is little information on the South and West Pacifics'). It also doesn't cover in depth Lazarus, TRR, or Balder and I would also like to know more about the pre-Francoist government in The Pacific. It was rather informative about the Empire incident in the East Pacific. I think that a general World History and Political Science section/bureau would be a nice addition to the North Pacific and help orient new members as to what the North Pacific is about and where it sits in regards to the NS world.

On the Delegates: here is a list of delegates I found in a Forum post on NS. However, it didn't list them by partisan/regional affiliation.

I find this list inaccurate and missing at least two people, one between Ermarian and Durkadurkiranistan II, and another between Durkadurkiranistan II and Flemingovia. :P
 
I was working on a timeline with Eluvatar but he said he'll get back to it and I haven't heard from him in months. It's not finished but I can publish it if people would be interested.
 
Kiwi has mentioned this to the admin team, and I think we need to distinguish between the in-game delegate and the elected constitutional delegate (including interim, acting and rogues, of which there were a few) in the timelines. The split began during the Pixiedance Delegacy (late 2004-January 2005 as date of spilt) and the distinction became permanent at the 2005 Constitutional Convention (late May to August 2005) during the interim Delegacy of Stars of Sky.

I thought Puppetmaster was a 2004 thing when we got rid of Great Bight.
