Corinair

(OCC: Moderators, can we move this into National Roleplay? I accidentally posted it here.)
Nikolai Solnste, Chancellor of Corinair was standing on the balcony of the Hotel Luna taking in the beautiful view of the city and the moonlit Bay of Moria.
"Mr. Chancellor?"
Nikolai turned from the railing and noticed his personal aide standing just inside the massive curtains that draped across the doorway and nodded to him.
"I'm sorry Mr. Chancellor, but Ambassador Ukashov is on the line, requesting to speak to you."
"Go ahead and patch him through Alek." he responded.
Alek tapped his tablets screen and turned to go back inside as Nikolai heard a beep in his ear and the line connected.
"Yuri, please tell me you have good news." he asked, looking back out across the sleeping city.
In fact I do Sir, the council has agreed to meet with you in a neutral location. As far as I know, they're willing to lift the embargo, but recognizing us as a sovereign nation apart from the Merchant States themselves is still up in the air.
Nikolai let out a loud sigh and slumped against the railing, nodding quietly to himself. He never expected them to agree during his term and now that they had, he found himself fearful that he might let his people down.
Mr. Chancellor? Are you there?
Nikolai glanced up and chuckled quietly. "Yes Yuri, I am. Thank you for all your hard work, but we aren't done yet. I'll work with my everyone back here and make a request to the Regional Assembly. Perhaps they can provide a safe place for this meeting to take place... Have a good night Ambassador."
Good night, Sir.
The connection ended and Nikolai sighed again, thinking about all the things he would now have to do. Walking back inside, he headed for the bedroom.
"Alek, I'm turning in, but I need you to have Ambassador Churkin to send a formal request to the RA for a neutral place to hold peace talks with the Merchant States."
Alek looked up from his tablet. "Yes Sir, I'll make sure to do that before I turn in. Good Night Mr. Chancellor, this is wonderful news to hear. I'll make sure Minister Demitrey is alerted as well and that he releases a statement in the morning."
