Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #266: Chemical Weapons Protocol (Category: International Security; Strength: Mild) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: The World Assembly,

Believing that chemical weapons may cause loss of life and environmental damage that is unconscionable to the members of this august assembly,

Bemoaning, however, that the "Chemical Weapons Protocol"(GA#266) contains a number of flaws that preserve an environment in which chemical weapons may still easily fall into the hands of those who would use them recklessly,

Regretting that the resolution fails to make a case for the use of incapacitating agents, which are non-lachrymatory, non-lethal, and heavily restricted by GA#266,

Noting that nearly any chemical "is capable of causing death or severe harm... primarily through its toxic chemical properties" and therefore nearly any chemical is thus classified as a chemical agent for the purposes of GA#266,

Specifying that the World Assembly is committed to improving this legislation, to both reduce flaws, and ensure a more balanced resolution on Chemical Weapons,

Believing that under these circumstances a repeal of GA#266 is both reasonable and expected,

Hereby repeals the "Chemical Weapons Protocol"(GA#266),

Aye, Nay or Abstain.

This is getting ridiculous. It took him how many goes to pass the thing and now he's supporting its repeal to pass a "better" one?

I'm For this, because it's stupid, but I'm going to hope the Delegate stomps against any future vote because it's beginning to annoy me. It's a complete waste of our time.

Summary:
This resolution would repeal GA Resolution #266, Chemical Weapons Protocol.
Ministry of WA Affairs Review
by Minister Sovreignry North Pacific

In reviewing this resolution, the Ministry concentrates on the arguments contained therein, and not the actual substance and content of the resolution it is intended to repeal.

This repeal believes that the target resolution contains a number of flaws that still allow chemical weapons to potentially fall into reckless hands, it also regrets that the resolution in question heavily restricts incapacitating agents unfairly.
The author also believes the target resolution's definition to be too strict, stating that nearly an chemical can cause death, and that most chemicals fall into the restrictions set by GAR 266

The Ministry recommends the following: we agree with the argument that the original resolution is too strict with it's definition, and that it goes too far. We recommend a yes vote, on this repeal.
