The Judicial Elections will begin on the First of November.

Nominations will run from the First of November to the Seventh.
Campaigning 8-10 and voting will begin immediately afterwards and last from the 10th to the 17th of November.

No problem there, we all make mistakes (at least, we do until we elect a divinity to office).

But should not the date of the election be put off to allow for the required notice to be given, rather than an election to be held on just nine days notice?

Well, the legal code also specifies that it must be held on the first day. If we delay by a further fortnight or so, then that would come into the next term to satisfy the notice requirements. The two sections conflicted, so I went with going with the starting date as being more important than the notice.

Given that the starting date is laid out by law, it's perfectly reasonable to interpret that as a standing notice to the region as to the date on which elections will start, not requiring further action by the delegate.
