Statement on Milograd's persona-non-grata status

mofa-seal.png

Some months ago, in response to his coup on our ally The South Pacific, the then government of The North Pacific declared Milograd persona-non-grata in our region and consequently refused to recognise him when he was later appointed representative of The Pacific to The North Pacific, not a month after his contemptible coup.

Since that period, Milograd has shown remorse for his actions and indicated willingness to accept the various degrees of admonishments and chastisements that regions placed on him as punishment for what he had done. Having served his time in exile, and understanding that what he did during his rogue Delegacy was wrong, Milograd has begun to rebuild his career in NationStates; a path which has culminated in a recent appointment to the Regency (Vice Delegacy) of Lazarus.

This government of The North Pacific believes that the remorse shown by Milograd is genuine and that the exile this region has subjected him to as a persona-non-grata these past few months, as punishment, has served its purpose. It is with this in mind that the Delegate McMasterdonia has, with the full backing of the cabinet, revoked Milograd's persona-non-grata status.

The North Pacific remains committed to its allies, including The South Pacific, and should the need ever arise we will not hesitate to rush to our allies defence, as we would hope they would do the same for us. This government's revocation of Milograd's persona-non-grata status should not be read as any softening in its steadfast support of the Coalition of The South Pacific, but of its belief that he has served his sentence.

Written on behalf of the Delegate McMasterdonia,
