Funkadelia has been removed as associate justice for failing to maintain RA membership.

As such, I now open nominations for the position of Associate Justice. Nominations will last 5 days and will be followed by 5 days of voting.

Nominations Opened at 10:40am UTC Saturday 21st of September and will close at the same time on the 26th of September.

You may nominate yourself, or accept the nominations given to you by others. You must declare your candidacy in this thread for it to be recognized.

I petition the delegate to pretty please replace the UTC time with one using the (time=unixtimestamp) formula, which would allow each user to see the opening and closing times in their own time zone.

I have been a member since the sixth of September which is exactly 15 days.
 
You may have applied on the 6th, but you were admitted on the 7th. If it's any consolation, the same thing happened to me a few years back.

I don't think that you will. You have to be an RA member for 15 days prior to the commencement of nominations, if my read of the law is correct.

However, you can post in the review request that I have posted in the Court area and state that you would also like the justices to address the issue as it clearly affects you.

I'm not sure he can just tack on to the same review - your question is whether someone's oath is valid binding from the time they post it or from the time they're admitted, but Leekem's issue is when he was actually dmitted to the RA.

It has been the standing policy of the Speaker's Office, in accordance with the Constibillocode, that members are formally admitted to the RA when the Speaker posts to that effect - such posts are performative, in that by their utterance they change reality. Merely posting the oath does not suffice for admittance, in much the same way that saying "I do" does not cause one to be married.

Well, we'll all find out once the court rules on the matter.

I have no opinion on the actual matter, just want it to be clarified.
