Nominations: Special Attorney General Election

This Special Election, The North Pacific will be electing an Attorney General to serve until the next election in November. Any Regional Assembly Member who has been a member for the last 15 days (since August 21) is eligible to run.

To run, one must either accept a nomination or simply declare candidacy in this topic. Nominations, acceptances of nominations, and declarations of candidacy must be posted in this topic to be valid. Acceptance of a nomination is understood to also constitute declaration of candidacy (you can't take someone off the ballot by removing your nomination of them at the last minute). This will allow for transparency and clear record keeping. All nominations, declarations of candidacy, or acceptances of nomination are legally required to be posted during the nomination period, which is from (time=1378418400) to (time=1378850400). Voting will be from (time=1378936800) to (time=1379368800).

This topic is intended for nominations and may not be used for campaigning. Please keep in mind that lying about the election is election fraud, and that lying for any purpose is fraud.

....but I won't because everyone will vote for Punk D. I've learned not to waste my time on such matters. I decline all present, past and future nominations.

I wouldn't bet on that Iro. Keep trying, you'll break through the glass ceiling.
 
I accept my nomination. The only problem is, I seem to be invisible to the Voting Booth.

Could a Mod or Admin look at this issue please? Perhaps it is a problem with the Voting Booth's mask. I cannot believe that he is rude enough to be ignoring me.

Nominations are now closed. The candidates in this special election will be Punk D, Belschaft, and flemingovia. Voting will begin tomorrow.
 
Please note: voting will begin sometime tonight, once I have clarified a minor legal issue. It will be extended however long it has been delayed. :)
 
Just to clarify the ballot and the legal issue, the Constibillocode does not make any provision for the withdrawal of candidacy following the close of nominations. Bel meets the legal definition of a candidate and I feel it would be misuse of my rather broad power as an election commissioner to remove a candidate from the ballot, even at his own request.
