Firsly Zyvetskistaahn has agreed to assist me as my new Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs! Congratulations and thank you to him.
There are some other matters in the areas that I am responsible for that I would appreciate some assistance with. Please feel free to put your name forward, either in this thread or via PM. No experience is necessary.
1) Communications
Basically I would like to have people willing to assist in maintaining the regional newspaper. We can continue with the old name, or go with a new one. I want to form a team that can assist me with this going forward. Ideally I would like to see articles written on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Covering a wide range of topics, satirical or factual. If you have experience I'd like to see an article that you have written. If you don't, that is fine as well, and I will work with you on it to start with.
Other ideas for this ministry is to maintain a higher presence on the NationStates forum, particularly in the gameplay area. If you think this would suit you, send me a message and I'll explain it in further detail.
2) Welcoming
We now have the welcoming script online which will save us a lot of work. I think there is more that we could do in this area. Obviously keeping an eye on the docks and making sure that new registered forum members are greeted and offered assistance if necessary. We used to maintain a help desk which would be good to start up again, as hopefully the welcoming script will bring us some new members.
In other areas, I would like people to assist in maintaining RMB activity. Welcome new nations that post on the RMB and contribute to the discussion. This may seem like a fairly minor way of helping, but it all contributes to keeping the region active and vibrant. It would be helpful to think of ideas to make Regional RMB Spam more interesting or creative, and for RMB topics for discussion.
