A Death In The Union

It is my sorrowful duty to inform the good people of the Union and the world that one of the sons of this great nation has found true peace after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. Mark Lindt-Fellows, at the age of eighty years, passed away in his private room at First Memorial Veteran's Hospital of the Oriole Union at three in the morning, May 22. His proud, stoic features unabated by his ailment and the color never leaving his cheeks he served his name and nation well in his final hours.

Mr. Lindt-Fellows, his Doctor's say, went peacefully and painlessly with his beloved wife at his side the entire time. The, now out-of-office, Madame Chairwoman, Nancy Fellows (now aged 79), was reported to have remained strong and willful in the face of her husband's untimely passing and has reportedly already received numerous gifts and well-wishes from old friends and colleagues as well as current members of the Company and Administration -- including a large flower arrangement signed by the, now in-office, Madame Chairwoman, Bette Grantham, herself and her daughter, Lavender Grantham.

At this point we've not received any official statement from Ms. Fellows or Ms. Grantham regarding the passing or possible funeral arrangements so we are unable to report whether or not it shall be a small gathering of family and friends or if it shall be nationally or internationally broadcast; however, once we here at ONN know, you too will know.

This is a mournful Margaret Van signing off for the Oriolean Network News...
