Romanoffia

Garde à l'eau!
A Bill Opening a Constitutional Convention for The North Pacific to replace the current Constitution in its entirety.

Whereas,

Recent events concerning the superiority of the Constitution and Legal Code over Election Commission 'Fiat' and unwritten 'Rules' which are nowhere published or detailed in a codified fashion;

Whereas,

A recent decision by the Court of The North Pacific has apparently determined (or not, no one can tell from the way it is written) that Fiat and Unwritten 'Rules' created by the EC over-ride the Constitution and Legal Code;

Whereas,

Such a decision by The Court clearly creates a precedent that arbitrary, capricious and unwritten rules based upon a fluid 'tradition' which effectively nullifies the current Constitution of The North Pacific by eradicating the legitimacy of elections by denying legally qualified candidates who followed the letter of the Constitution and Legal code;

Whereas,

Elections being the basis of a Free and Open Democracy have been nullified by the Election Commission by denying qualified candidates from ballot access on arbitrary, capricious and unwritten 'rules', supported by a court decision that also appears to be self-contradictory;

Whereas,

We have a recent decision by the Court of The North Pacific that is so poorly written as to call into question the ability of said court to function in an effective, logical manner and deliver justice in an impartial way,

Whereas,

All the preceding items detail and indicate that there is a complete failure of the Constitution and Government to protect the rights, liberties and due process of some or all of its Citizens;

Therefore,

Be it known, that a A Bill Opening a Constitutional Convention for The North Pacific to replace the current Constitution in its entirety with the purpose of replacing our Constitution with a New Constitution that will be better fitted to protect the Rights and Liberties of The People of The North Pacific and that this Constitutional Convention be convened immediately upon the passage of this Bill.

There might be some implementation concerns regarding this bill. 1)The "therefore" clause does not have a verb for the subject - it goes "Be it known, that [noun phrase], and..." so it doesn't actually do anything. 2) It's pretty hard to immediately convene a constitutional convention when there are no guidelines or specifications for such a convention. Who will be there? Who will chair it? What happens at it?

Honestly, you'd be better off simply drafting a new constitution with whoever will join you and proposing it as a constitutional amendment. That is how it has generally happened in the past.
