Statement on the United Defenders League and the Breach of Trust with The North Pacific
In the name of our Secretary General, Astarial
Sovereign Confederation strongly condemns the breach of trust committed by Ravania when he transmitted classified military information from The North Pacific to the United Defenders League. Such actions are unbecoming of any defender, let alone a senior officer, and we applaud the difficult efforts taken by Eluvatar to right the wrong perpetrated against his home region.
We find the initial response taken by the UDL to be utterly dismissive of the seriousness of what occurred. Although it was rescinded, it is nevertheless shocking that the first reaction of the leadership was to strip Eluvatar of his position within UDL and to praise Ravania's espionage. Moreover, the later punishments that have been handed down across the board make no indication that UDL leadership even understands the complaints raised. A temporary demotion that can and will be overcome without any real effort to prevent this sort of event from happening in the future, and one without any effect on the actual day-to-day operations of the UDL, is scarcely worth calling a punishment at all. We encourage the UDL to reconsider its mental evaluation of the crime that occurred and show that they value the sovereignty and integrity of their friends by treating this espionage as the crime that it was.
We offer our support and well-wishes to TNP, and hope that the judicial process ensures that justice is brought to bear on those responsible for this act. We will provide any assistance we can in this difficult time.
Thank you for your time,
Quadrimmina, on behalf of the Executive Council of the Sovereign Confederation
Astarial, Secretary General of the Sovereign Confederation
